Chapter 10 - Gabriel

'Your name will be, Gabriel. Nice to meet you, Gabriel.'

The system was silent for a moment before finally speaking inside his mind.

[...Nice to meet you as well, Father. I am pleased with the name Gabriel and will gladly use it from this point on.]

The system, now named Gabriel, said after which a buzzing sound echoed through his head and a golden light covered Aria's aura inside his body.

[Detecting usage of a skill, Skill 'Akashic Records' has taken effect during the naming process and has given me the record of 'Gabriel'. I didn't know you had a skill like this, Father.]

Adam was shocked for a moment before replying, '...I didn't know I had a skill like this as well.'

[Would you like to access the skill's information, Father?]

'Yes.'

Then, a screen appeared in front of him with the skill information written on it.

He who hath obtained knowledge about different realities shall obtain a way keep it.

[Passive]: Allows the user to understand the origin of all things. Limited by the knowledge of the user. Promotes the development of mental capabilities. Allows the user to store the knowledge they gathered.

[Active]: Allows the user to confer a name to an unnamed entity. The record of the name within the Akashic Tome alters the fate of the recipient. In the event that another entity carries the same name, the former's record would transfer to the one who's recently given the same name.

Adam read the information was surprised because, somehow, he seemed familiar with this skill even though it's his first time seeing it.

The moment he finished reading the skill, a vague and cloudy memory flashed inside his mind.

It was about a man, shining with a golden light, handing him a book from one of the bookshelves present in his vision. The book reads, Records of the Archangels, which only had very few pages, not even reaching 100.

The contents of the books were blurry and he couldn't read them, except for one. When he flipped through another page, the name 'Gabriel' appeared and it describes Gabriel's appearance, personality, devotion and so on. Every information about the being called 'Gabriel' is written without leaving anything.

After reading through the rest of the book, which are still blurry, the golden man handed him seven other books to read. Again, the books' contents and titles are blurred except for 'Gabriel', this book is thicker than the previous Records of the Archangels and is titled, Record of Gabriel, this book's contents is about the life of Gabriel, the Archangel of ###.

The memory ended when he read the name of the being who is said to be 'Gabriel's' creator.

After he returned to his consciousness, he opened his eyes and started to breath heavily. The animals around him were alerted and hurriedly scouted the area while the baby animals gathered around him, trying to comfort him. Adam noticed their sudden behavior, so he calmed his breathing and told the animals that nothing is wrong and they needn't worry.

After calming them down, he sat again on the Fred's roots and closed his eyes, he asked inside his mind, 'What on earth was that? Did you see that Gabriel?'.

[No, unfortunately I did not see what Father just saw, but when I dived in your memory, I saw an unknown memory that wasn't there before, normally, whenever a new memory is created, it would always appear at the end of the branch, but this memory appeared at the very front, which means that this memory happened earlier than the rest of your memory.]

Adam was surprised to know of this fact, this means that he has more than one previous lives and it would seem that he was quite an affluent person, judging by the surroundings of the abode and the clothes the man wore.

But at the moment, something about Gabriel's words caught his attention, 'You can read my memory?' Adam asked inquisitively.

[...No, you must have misheard me, Father.]

'...You do know that I can remember anything I've seen, heard, felt, tasted, smelled, etc. right?'

Gabriel was silent for a while before a curvy figure appeared inside his mind and performed a dogeza, [...I'm sorry, Father! Please don't punish me!]

Adam just sighed before a figure of him also appeared inside his mind and patted the curvy figure's head. The curvy figure, Gabriel(Duh!), looked up to see her Father's smiling expression and she couldn't help but fall into daze. Even though she is her Father, this Father is completely different from her previous Father. A blush made it on her face and covered her whole face red, fortunately, the inside of Adam's mind is bright so her blush is unnoticeable, at least to Adam, that is.

Adam, instead, observed his supposed daughter and couldn't help but admire her figure. Her silver-white long hair and crystal blue eyes with diamond slited pupils were simply enchanting and her full breast and bottom were so attractive, he couldn't take his eyes off of them, and although she is currently wearing a blue and black colored frilly dress, her current posture emphasizes her assets so much that it looks like it would pop up soon enough. Her height barely reached 160 cm at 157 cm so he had to bend his waist and knees just so he could reach his hand to her head. Of course he could lessen his height inside his mindscape, but he doesn't know how to that and even him creating a figure of himself inside is just a coincidence.

(A/N: I'm gonna call it mindscape because it's tiring to always write 'inside his mind' or something.)

Gabriel, noticing her Father's shining sky blue eyes observing her body from head to toe and discovering the fascination he had on her body, she couldn't help but blush even more that Adam had started to notice.

"Are you okay? You're turning red, are you sick? Though is it even possible for you to get sick?"

Adam asked with worry present on his face, no matter how he thought of it, even though he wasn't familiar with this girl, the fact that she is his child greatly disturbed his mind. He has this compulsive feeling whenever he thinks of the word 'child' which gave him a great amount of anxiety because this feeling is something completely new to him, though his mind says that this is normal, his body cannot handle such emotions and he felt his heart beat.

Gabriel, seeing the worry in her Father's eyes and the great distress that seem to plague his mind by the constant flickering inside the mindscape, felt anguished. She hugged his bent body by the neck and patted his back gently before feeling her feet rise up from the floor.

Adam was startled by the sudden hug and straightened his body impulsively which caused Gabriel to dangle on his neck with her feet trying to reach the floor due to the difference in height. He sighed through his nose with a small smile present on his face as he grabbed Gabriel by the armpits and put her down.

Gabriel felt relieved the moment her feet touched the floor but after that follows great disappointment, she felt that she lost something the moment she realized that she wasn't hugging her Father anymore and it confused her as to what this feeling is.

Although she is created by the 'Adam' of this reality, which is several millenniums ago, she is still a child in mind, and even though she looked at Adam's memories, she didn't have time to view all of it because she wanted to find out what caused her Father's angst.

But all of that disappeared when she felt his hand on her head again, he ruffled her hair which caused a smile to appear on her beautiful face with her eyes squinted in bliss.

That didn't last long though, because Adam still needs to find out what other amazing things Gabriel can do.

Gabriel, of course, was ecstatic to show her Father her abilities.

I forgot to upload, it was supposed to upload last night because of the timer I set but apparently that didn't work, and I was also immersed in playing Honkai Impact and reading manhwas and manhuas that I forgot to check Webnovel. I only remembered when I received a chapter to edit for Herrscher of Shadow that I checked to see that a chapter didn't upload so here it is!
