After the soul bleeding conversation between the bunch of friends came to an end, Levi pulled her phone closer and send Gajeel a text message. She informed him shortly how miserable Lucy is and together they conducted a plan to get the two star-crossed lovers at the same place. They all agreed that they need to talk things out and that Lucy at least needs to listen to his side of the story which only he would be able to shed some light on. Together, Erza and Levi lead their friend through the door, with the promise of a cold treat. At the 24hour shop, the girls met up with some of the boys. Lucy completely oblivious of their plan. The golden haired maiden agreed to wait outside on the balcony for them to finish up.

As Lucy turned the corner, on her way to the high structure that's set against the ocean; off to the side of the building, she abruptly stopped in her step. Leaning against the railing is the one that she never thought would cross her path again. They see each other in the school's corridors, but nothing like this had happened since the breakup. Rapidly her heart rate speeds up as she inched closer. She took in a deep breath as she takes her stand beside him. He snug in an intake of air as her odor reach his senses. "Lucy," he greet her with a heavy heart. "Grey," she address him. "What brings you here?" he questioned without losing a beat. "Ice cream," her answer came after a long pause. He can clearly hear the heartache in her voice and it tears him apart.

Grey's grip around the bars of the railing tightens, whiting his knuckles in the process; as he spoke up, "I'm sorry!" "It's okay Grey_" Lucy starts but he cuts her off mid sentence. "No please, allow me to explain," the dark head took a deep heavy breath before continuing. "You're most likely going to hate me even more when I tell you everything but just hear me out. I have to explain everything, the guilt's been weighing me down," he started. "I've met Juvia twice in the same grocer, from around the corner from where I live. The first time was over winter's break. At a quick pace she became a good friend of mine. I conveyed in her, we spoke about everything. After a while I could tell that she felt something for me on a much deeper level but she new that I was in a relationship because I've spoken about you frequently. She knew how I felt about you too. To get back to my story… you remember that party that we've both been invited to but you couldn't make it due to reasons?" She acknowledged me with an uhm. "She too had been invited along with some other people that I didn't know. I had a non-toxic eggnog, but somebody at the party thought that it was enjoyable to spike a few drinks in total, unfortunately our drinks were those spiked ones. What happened next were out of our control? We haven't seen each other afterwards until I left her a message to meet me at the skating rink, the night before our breakup." Grey paused to take a quick intake of air before he concluding.

Not once looking up to take in her reaction. "I met up with Juvia to apologize for what happened at that party weeks prior. I told her how much you meant to me and how I would fall apart if you're ever to leave me. She understood, leaned in closer and placed her lips against my cheek in a greeting manner. I haven't seen her until I've met her the second time in that same grocer the weekend when they moved to town. Seeing her made me lonesome and angry at you for dumping me like a bag of garbage. I wanted to destroy you by being with her but I've only been destroying myself." Grey finished off, this time however he turn his face to look at Lucy who was silently crying. He wipe a tear away with the pad of his thumb. "I love you Lu and I always will," Grey confessed as he leans in closer and place his lips firmly against hers.
