28 - Lucy

Arm in arm Natsu leads me over the threshold. In front of another photographer we stroke another pose, before entering the venue as a couple. Off to the side, are arranged tables that's befitted to seat four people. To the left of the tables are a spacious dance floor along with a makeshift podium where some life entertainment will be preforming classics to suit the mood. The theme is back and silver. It feels like I'm trapped within a genuine fairy tale. We made our way to a random table where two seats had already been taken. Natsu pulled out a chair and I sit down.

We watch how the tables fills up and when the two who'll be joining us returns, my heart literally falls into my feet. Seems like Grey and Juvia would be joining us this evening, how fantastic. If I were to say that out loud one would've surely heard the sarcasm dripping from my lips. It doesn't help in my favor that he looks so handsome in his black tux, white shirt and blue tie either. Looking at her I feel like such a monster for looking at Grey with hungry eyes, which I'm glad Natsu didn't notice.

She's so beautiful. Her silvery blue princess dress is the same shade as Grey's perfectly folded tie. Seeing how gorgeously they complete each other breaks my heart. I've allowed him to slip through my fingers for a second time just because I don't want her to feel the pain that I've experienced, after losing the love of my life. Natsu lays in closer to my ear and whispers, "Are you okay? Should I see if I could find us a different table?" Natsu asks me twin questions. I turn my attention towards him and answer with a smile: "No need, thanks for asking but I'll be okay. I have you to thank for that." He pulls in closer and place a comfortable kiss upon my lips.

Even so I can feel how somebody's eyes burns holes through my skin. We twist away and face the ones that we have the privilege of sharing this meal with. I force a smile which Grey instantly noticed as he rewarded me with a tight lipped smile of his own.

After a long, long speech from the Headmaster himself and a fancy four course meal later, we all danced the night away. Natsu made to his feet after a quick breather, instead of asking me for another dance, he turned towards the lovely Juvia and she accepted after Grey told her that it's fine. Making their way over towards the dance floor, he looks at me. "Shall we?" Grey asks as he too made to his feet, holding a hand out to me. I place mine firmly in his and allow him to lead me to the floor. Just as we arrive a slow classical fills the room. I move closer towards him, his hand lays perfectly against my lower back. My arms hooped around his neck.

I've missed this feeling, the two of us sharing a dance while there's only crickets to fill in as the night' song. Those days lies far behind us now, who could have ever thought that things would turn out this way? "I miss you Lu," he whispers into my ear. His warm breath sending chills down my spine. "I know," I say swooning into him. "I miss you too," I admit. I could tell that he's on the verge to reply, when Natsu swoop my out of Grey's arms and my place had been filled up by Juvia. I feel so betrayed and even ashamed of myself. I'm here with Natsu, so I'm to avoid Grey as best I could; seeing how he still has a hold on me.

As the night came to an end: Me, Juvia and the guys, left the venue together. Outside people was already waiting to pick some students up. The limousine from earlier nowhere to be seen. A familiar looking guy climbs out of a silver Porch, yet I can't seem to put my finger to it. Where have I seen him before? Grey's bitter exclamation breaks through my subconscious: "It's you! You're the bastard who spiked my drink!"
