Please Consume Me, Master

Evan grew up to be a fine young man, but not as fine as his master who was now studying in the Academy of Scientific Pursuits.

The house had become even more empty and quiet. Most of the servants had been dismissed and what remains was he and his mother.  After all, the masters of the house are always away in pursuit of science. The two of them ended up as just caretakers managing the house until they return.

Whenever Franklin does visit, he treats the now grown Evan even more. So the boy began to believe that he must have become even uglier when he grew up. Perhaps he would keep on being so as he aged.

He watched Franklin's hand take a piece of bread, tore it in half, and bit on it. But he never looked at him directly in the eyes, and whenever he almost accidentally would, he will turn his head away.
