The First Encounter

When Hudson received the phone call from the police station, he apologized to his son and took a cab and left without giving his opinion about what Mason requested for his gift of graduation.

And since Hudson did not say no, Mason took it as a yes.

This is why he is now driving his new Mercedes and heading to his old house without even informing his father, but the latter is definitely busy with the Segas' case which is also one of the reasons why Mason did not want to bother him.

Addition to all this, Mason does not see anything wrong with renting their old house for the summer not only that but also he is a grown up ass man and can make decisions like these from now on alone for himself.

His father's house which is where he stays was twenty five minutes away from their old house, Mason has no clue how these minutes passed so quickly but he thinks he lost the track of time because he was so excited to arrive at his… Home, that's his home where he made many memories since his childhood.

+Future Mason's pov:++

The summer after I graduated university, I went to stay in my old house which is the only place where I feel like I'm in my home.

I thought a home can only be a place, but I had no idea that future will prove me wrong.

++POV's End++

The house have a front and a back yard, swimming pool, and two floors.

There is a small park full of flowers and plants in front of the house.

A soft grin appeared on Mason's face as his eyes started to shine in pure happiness when he caught a glimpse of his old house that is located in a very calm neighborhood, mostly because only rich people live here and since these people do not have too much free time, very few of them have kids which is one of the reason why the neighborhood is silent.

Mason first parked his new Mercedes in front of the sidewalk because he was too excited to see his home again which is why he decided to park his car in the garage that was on the left side of the house later.

He walked toward the main door that was on the right side of the house and unlocked it with the keys that got from the guy that owns this house now after paying the rent for the three months of Summer.

The floor of the house was made of ceramic, that was a request from his mother so that it would be easier for the maids to clean when it gets dirty.

That was definitely because of him since he was a very messy child who is curious about everything and anything.

A chuckle escaped from his mouth when he remembered some memories of him pouring different colors of paint on the ground and mixing them to create new ones.

Their maids probably hated him for that.

In the first floor there are two bedrooms and bathrooms, living room, family room, dining room, and kitchen.

In the second floor, there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, warehouse, and balcony.

Mason used to stay in the second floor and his parents in the first one.

There are also much furniture in the house including fancy lamps hanging on ceiling in each floor.

The decor of the house completely changed but it is still beautiful.

In the backyard of the house, there was a swimming pool and gazebo, the latter was his father's idea so that he can enjoy his free time over there, well Mason and his mother used to occupy it more than his father.

He still remembers how he played rock paper and scissors with his parents, the one who wins, gets to work or study in gazebo.

He knows they always let him win which brought a smile to his face when he remembered this memory.

Mason heard a honk from outside which is why he rushed to open the door just to find the full service movers waiting for him.

He needed his clothes, and many other stuff that he could not just put in his car and bring them with him which is why he decided to hire these people to bring them to his old house.

" This is so refreshing." Mason whispered to himself when he took a sip from his orange juice as he took a seat in the gazebo and decided to relax until the employees finish their work inside the house.

He did not do much of the relaxing part because he grabbed his tablet and started looking at the last picture that were taken of Julian before he runs away.

He kept zooming as an attempt to see who is inside the SUVs that came to take Julian, he could see someone inside one of these vehicles but he was not clear at all.

All Mason could see was the silhouette of that person because the car is dark from the inside.

He narrowed his eyes and kept focusing and zooming until he completely lost the feeling of his surroundings because all his concentration was on the picture.

He got startled when a bark was heard from a dog that was sitting right next to his feet.

Mason placed his hand on his chest and sigh in relief " You scared me, little one."

The dog was a cream colored Pomeranian, very adorable, tiny yet so fluffy which made Mason chuckle " I will forgive you because you are cute."

Mason patted the dog's head as the dog started moving his fluffy tail happily from side to side which is when Mason noticed the collar around the dog's neck " Where is your owner, Teddy? What a cute name you ha…"

He found the name written on the collar and the moment, he said the dog's name, Teddy started wiggling his tail even more.

However, Mason was interrupted before he can even finish cooing at Teddy and holding him.

" Teddy?" A deep yet calm voice, this man's voice although it was deep it was not annoying, it was so soothing, the type of voice that most man would die to have and most women would do anything for their husbands to have that type of voice.

One call was enough to make Teddy rush toward the source of the sound.

Mason curiously followed Teddy with his gaze, as he saw a man getting out of the back seat of a white Maserati Grecale.

The man was dressed in brown wide pants with a loose button down that was revealing half of his muscled chest that had a very soft necklace dangling on it.

Wide shoulders, long legs, his arms seemed to be muscled too but Mason in not sure because the button down was loose, he only thinks the owner of teddy had muscled arms because of his forearms that were visible because his sleeves were rolled up.

He looked cosy, soft because of the thin bracelets in his left wrist and the necklace on his neck, warm definitely nice and soft hearted.

Mason could clearly see his face because the guy was wearing a hat and sunglasses that were hiding half of his face but he still looks like he walked straight out of a photoshoot or a magazine.

A grin formed on Mason's face as he watched that man crouching down and carefully… Super extra carefully picking Teddy in his big arms which made the dog look way smaller than it already is due to how broad its owner's chest is.

The car left while Teddy's owner peacefully walked inside the house that was right next to the house that Mason will be staying in for the summer… For the next three month.
