Chapter 70:Blue Gem

"I have something to inform you about. The date of the competition that I told you about has been changed. Now, it won't be held after a month, but it will be held in a week. Therefore, you should work hard for this next week. And also…," Elder Ren stopped in the middle of his sentence and looked at Yang Zhai.

"The reward of the competition has also been changed. Whoever wins this tournament will be the class leader. If someone apart from Yang Zhai wins the competition, then Yang Zhai would be removed as the class leader. And the person who wins will become the new class leader. The winner will also be given 50 Essence Stones." Elder Ren looked at everyone and explained.

When the kids heard this, they were surprised. Their expressions changed. It could be seen how shocked and happy they were to hear Elder Ren. But strangely, there was silence at the place. It was because Yang Zhai had forbidden them from speaking. Even though everyone was itching to discuss this matter, they kept quiet. They knew that they would be irritating Yang Zhai if they spoke. Thus, they kept quiet unwillingly.

On the other hand, Yang Zhai was not worried. He stayed quiet and didn't bicker with the elder. He knew that this decision could only be made by the clan leader and the Academy leader; therefore, there was no benefit in bickering. Even if he argued, this decision would not be changed. It would only make his position even more worse. Thereby, it was better for him to stay quiet.

"This decision was made by the clan leader. The date was changed because the people from the next mountain's village are coming to the clan. And there might be unexpected situations when they come; therefore, it was decided that a strong person would be chosen as a class leader."

"And because this decision was made in a hurry, you will be free for this week. You will not come to the academy this week and will also be not assigned any tasks. And you will also be freed from listening to the class leader's orders for this week. But, in unexpected situations, Yang Zhai can still order you."

"The Study hall will also be opened for this week. You can choose any technique you want from the Study hall. But, before picking the second technique, you will need to fully learn the first technique you pick. This will be the case for the third, fourth, and so on techniques. Thus, you will need to show to the worker in the study hall that you have learned the technique that you picked before choosing another technique."

"And remember, you all have to be polite to the guests. We want no mistakes from any of you. And the class leader will represent their class in front of the guests."

Elder Ren explained to the kids present.

It seemed that the guests coming were important. Important to the point that even a strong class leader was needed. Not just that, even the competition date was changed and everyone was also being granted free entries in the Study Hall.

But Yang Zhai knew the people who were coming. Not just that, he also knew their exact identities. But, the competition's date was not changed in his previous life. It seemed that Yang Zhai's presence and actions were beginning to affect the situation. But this was only a minor change, nothing else. Yang Zhai was sure that it was going to happen sooner or later. He had expected this.

Yang Zhai went to his house after the Academy. He was sitting in his room and was looking at the Blue-Gem. 

This Blue Gem was the most mysterious material in the world and was also the most desirable. This gem had many uses. 

And what was more interesting was that this gem did not belong to any path. It could not be created by anyone, no matter what. Even immortals were unable to make this Blue Gem, not even a rank 1 Blue Gem.

It was also used in many refinements. This Gem did not contradict any material or path. This Gem was also sought after by the immortals. 

And one of its most important use was that it could help a person advance a sub rank. Like a rank 1 Blue Gem was able to help a person advance in Rank 1. A rank 2 Blue Gem could help a person with rank 2 or 1 cultivation advance a sub rank. And a Rank 3 Blue Gem was capable of letting someone advance a sub rank in rank 1 to 3 and so on.

Nevertheless, a single Blue Gem could only help a person advance only a single sub-rank. Such as, if Yang Zhai uses it now, he would only be able to advance from Rank 1 mid stage to Rank 1 third stage. Even if he used a rank 3 Blue Gem. Therefore, it was considered a waste to use a higher rank Blue Gem to advance in lower ranks. Like, a rank 2 Blue Gem should be used to advance in the rank 2 stage, instead of using a Rank 2 Blue Gem to advance in Rank 1.

After using the Blue Gem to advance, it disappears.

Just like that, a lower rank gem could not be used to advance to higher ranks. Like, Yang Zhai would not be able to use a Rank 3 Blue Gem to advance from Rank 4 early stage to rank 4 mid stage. Not just that, a blue gem cannot help a person advance to the next rank. Such as, Yang Zhai cannot utilize a Rank 3 gem to advance from the Rank 3 peak stage to Rank 4.

These Blue Gems were also used in Ka Refinements.

However, Yang Zhai did not extort this Blue Gem to advance. If he used this gem to advance, then he would be wasting it, as he already had the Strength Ka to help him advance. He had obtained this gem because he wanted to use its other ability, which was still unknown to the world. Yang Zhai knew about this ability because of his previous life. This ability of the Blue Gem would come to light only after 200 years.

This Blue Gem could be used to hide a person's aura. 

Yang Zhai knew that because of the Strength Ka's two abilities, he would be advancing at a lightning speed. He was confident of being able to reach the peak stage in two to three weeks.  

And when he does that, he would shock the clan, arousing suspicion. As advancing this quickly with his essence water was impossible. It was only possible if Yang Zhai used some kind of method. And right now, he did not have any reasonable answer.  Therefore, a Blue Gem was the best thing that could be used to hide his secrets. He was living in reality, not fantasy. How could anyone believe his lies without any evidence to back them up?

Even Cu Gil did not know about this ability of the Blue Gem, nor did anyone from the clan. Thereby, it was the perfect disguise.
