Chapter 71:Nothingness

"Father, when will we be leaving for the Bai Clan?" A boy around the age of 14 asked a man. This boy had short green hair and was quite handsome. His clothes were white with a rainbow emblem on the left side of the chest.

The man he was talking to was also wearing a white robe with a rainbow emblem. This man looked to be in his forties. His hair was green with a few gray hairs. Both the boy and the man looked the same. Their faces were a little similar. It looked like they were blood-related.

"Son, we will be leaving after two weeks or so. You need to be ready. I don't want you to disgrace my name and the clan's. I have spent a lot of effort on you; therefore, I want the most out of you. And also, get ready for our plan." The man spoke. His expression was serious.

"Father, you are the second elder of our Ma clan. I won't let you down, don't worry. But… about the plan, are you sure?" The boy said.

"I am sure. We will operate according to what we planned. As the clan leader is not coming with us, this is the best opportunity we can get. And also, you will lead the Rainbow class." The man said. He was the second elder of the Ma clan. And the boy, he was speaking to, was his son.

This was the same Ma clan that was invited by the Bai clan as their guests. This Ma clan existed on the neighboring mountain of the Si mountain. This Clan had the same level of power as the Bai clan. These two clans existed for a very long time.

And the Second Elder of the Ma clan was going to represent the Ma clan this time.

"Jun Haru, listen to me, you need to be fully prepared and not hesitant. This plan requires meticulousness. And also, what happened to the thing that I asked you to prepare?" The man looked at the boy and asked.

"Father, don't worry, it has already been prepared. You just need to give me an order and it will be in your hands, ehehehe," This boy's name was Jun Haru. He laughed sinisterly after finishing his sentence.

"Excellent, you should go and start your training. After all, you are my hope." The man was happy after he heard his son.

"Yes, father," Jun Haru bowed and left.

After Jun Haru left, a kid came into the room. He was also around the age of Jun Haru. This kid had long black hair, which extended to his waist. He looked aloof. He came in and bowed to the man before saying,

"Second elder Jun Nie, I have already prepared the list of the kids that will be coming to the Bai clan with us. Here is the list." The boy handed a list to the man.

This man's name was Jun Nie. He was the second elder of the Clan(not the academy). Jun Nie took the list and looked at it. On this list were the names of the kids who were going to the Bai Clan with Elder Jun.

Of course, Elder Jun was not the only elder going as a guest, there were others as well.

"Elder, this list has all the names that you recommended. Not just that, I made sure to make the other kids keep quiet. They won't be complaining to anybody." The black-haired boy explained.

"Yen Hu, great work. I expected nothing less from you. You are the most trusted kid in the whole class. Get ready for the real plan. I don't want my son to come back alive to the clan. You need to make sure that he accepts my love, hahahahaha," After Elder Jun Nie finished speaking to Yen Hu, he began to laugh loudly like a crazy man. His laugh was extremely vicious and exciting.

But it did not affect Yen Hu at all. He kept quiet and was still bowing. It looked like Yen Hu was used to this laugh.

And for Jun Nie to reveal his plan and personality so openly to Yen Hu meant that he completely trusted Yen Hu. For a father to even plan against his fourteen years old son. Nobody would believe in a person who could even scheme against his own son. This world was merciless. But… could a father really scheme against his own son?

"Elder Jun, even though I have no right to speak in front of you, I would like to ask you something." Yen Hu lowered his head even more and asked.

"What is it?" Elder Jun stopped laughing and questioned.

"Are you sure about making your son distance from you? You love your son dearly, so much that you even went against the clan leader for him when he was little. You know that once a person you love dearly leaves you, every happiness becomes unknown to you. A strangeness enters your life, it feels like a part of your life is missing. Even if you…," Yen Hu stopped for a moment before continuing,

"Even if you manage to move forward in your life after the person you love leaves you, you will still not be able to fill that part. After all, once a person you love dies, they never return. This is the truth that exists, even if someone does not want to admit it. No matter what, you will not be able to see your son again if you go with your plan. Think about it again, you want to remove your own heart with your own mind."

"You want to accept a different world. A world of great loneliness. Nobody can live with this loneliness, it will eventually eat your mind. The emptiness that appears in the place when someone's heart disappears will eventually eat your mind." Yen Hu said with his head almost extremely lowered.

"It's nothing. At least, in front of you. My emptiness will never be more than your emptiness. I know that you have died from inside and only a living corpse is walking now. Whenever I feel pain in the future, I will just look at you, it will lessen my pain.

After all, I will be alive, but you… you have died. Let me experience a little bit of it." Elder Jun looked at Yen Hu and said. His eyes had tears in them.

Yang Zhai looked in a mirror. His reflection was displayed and nothing else.

"A loneliness, a loneliness, a loneliness,

The freedom asks for loneliness,

I wonder, did I ever love loneliness?

Did I lose something? Did I gain something?

Freedom from everything is the path to

Loneliness. The freedom, the loneliness,"

Yang Zhai recited a poem. He knew that if he wanted to free himself, he even had to free himself from himself. In the end, nothing would be left. To free himself, he had to free himself from everything. Nothingness was the path he chose. But was nothingness freedom? Was nothingness a prison as well?
