Clearing The Scene

Xin's head separated and fell down whilst his blood splashed on the ground. As Jun's face was below Xin's foot, the blood also splashed on his face.

Jun looked above him after seeing this and saw a boy standing behind Xin's body. Xin's body slowly fell down to the ground and Yang Zhai could be seen standing there holding a sharp long knife in his right hand. The knife was bloody, and his face and his robe were also stained by blood.

"I arrived just in time." Yang Zhai said with a tranquil expression.

Well, it was just a formality, he had arrived before the time. It's just that he watched with silence, hiding behind the corner. He didn't interfere until Jun Haru's life was in danger. And when this happened, he arrived just in time, this was the meaning hidden behind his sentence. He had arrived just in time when Jun's life was about to end.

The more desperate a person was, the more he would be thankful to the one who helped him. Jun Haru begged and cried for help from Keal and Xin, but got no response from them. However, Yang Zhai helped him in this moment of desperation and in his time of need. Jun's extreme fear changed to extreme happiness after seeing Yang Zhai, so he could not think of anything but to feel happy after Yang Zhai appeared, and of course, Yang Zhai was the reason for this happiness.

"Yang Zhai, what are you doing? He was your guest and you killed him." Keal was scared after seeing this sight. He wanted to get away but tripped and fell to the ground. After all, he was already tired and could not fight with Yang Zhai in his condition.

Yang Zhai slowly walked toward Keal and said nothing.

This silence of Yang Zhai, who was covered in blood, instilled fear into Keal's heart.

Some people called Yang Zhai the blood demon in his previous life. And right now, Keal was experiencing firsthand why he was called the blood demon.

Yang Zhai kept on walking toward Keal with neither fast nor slow steps.

"You will regret this if you kill me. Ma clan will not spare you." Keal's bottom was on the ground and his hands were on the ground behind him. His face was looking at Yang Zhai and he was crawling backward.

He was a kid after all, he also felt fear.

"Hel…uhu," Keal was about to shout for help, but Yang Zhai threw the knife that pierced his mouth and appeared from behind his head.

Yang Zhai then pulled the knife out of Keal's head and stored it in the Bloody Storage Ka.

He then went to Jun Haru's side and took out the Ginger Ointment that he had gotten from the Moon Bull Inn's manager. He then gave it to Jun.

"What… is it," Jun stuttered whilst speaking. His face was pale because of losing too much blood.

"Apply it to your wound, or you will die because of the blood loss." Yang Zhai said calmly.

"Hmm,"

Jun Haru did not have the time to think if this ointment was poisonous or not, he only had this choice left. And then, Yang Zhai also saved him, and if he really wanted to kill him, then why would he even save him? Not just that, but what would Yang Zhai get by killing Jun instead of letting Keal and Xin kill him?

So, he hurriedly applied the Ginger Ointment on his wound that was made by Xin's blade.

Yang Zhai, on the other hand, stored Xin's sword and Keal's knife.

After a while, Jun Haru's wound healed and the blood stopped coming out of it.

"Is your wound completely healed?" Yang Zhai looked at Jun and asked.

"Yes,"

When Jun said this, Yang Zhai took out a pouch and released four to five red bugs. These bugs began to clean all of the blood that was on the ground and their bodies.

Three to four minutes later, no blood could be seen anywhere. He then stored them in the pouch again.

"What are they?" Jun Haru was still weak from the blood loss and his face was pale.

This Ginger Ointment could only heal the wound and that's it. It could not vitalize the person who was wounded.

"We don't have enough time. Here, wear these clothes, and we will go talk somewhere else." Yang Zhai gave him a robe that he had brought with him. Jun Haru's clothes were torn because of the sword that had pierced him.

After that, Yang Zhai stored the two bodies in the Bloody Storage Ka as well. This Ka was considered one of the tops in rank 2. Even though it could not store a living being, it was able to store dead bodies. After all, it was called Bloody Storage Ka. It drank blood as its food and could store dead bodies in it. This was also the reason Yang Zhai stored the red bugs in the pouch because they were living beings. And these red bugs were not Kas, so he could not store them in his aperture as well. Yang Zhai had bought them from the clan's market.

A while later, the hallway became as clean as it was before the fight. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. After everything was done, Yang Zhai and Jun Haru left the place quietly.

Both of them exited the clan leader's residence and came to an inn. They sat at the corner table, away from everyone.

"Brother Yang, last night, you said that only one of them was a traitor. So, how did both Xin and Keal turn out to be traitors?" Jun asked Yang Zhai with a confused expression.

"Even I am thinking about this, how could both of them be traitors?" Yang Zhai also seemed confused on the surface. His expressions were so real that Jun Haru thought that Yang Zhai was also confused.

"Anyway, thanks, if you had not arrived in time, I wouldn't be sitting here alive. But, how did you know that my father was a traitor? When you sent a messenger to me at Ma clan, I did not believe him. But, I still decided to listen to you after reading your letter and decided to go along with the plan to know the truth." Jun Haru was not certain about how Yang Zhai managed to know that his father wanted to kill him from so far away. Yang Zhai lived in Bai village, and he lived in Ma village. The Ma clan was on the neighboring mountain to the Si mountain, two completely different mountains.

A while ago, Yang Zhai had asked the librarian of the Si academy, Hie Di, to convey a message for him by threatening Hie Di. After all, the librarian of the Academy collected information and had many informants. And after the second round of the competition, Yang Zhai had also gone to the study hall to confirm if Hie Di had completed the task given by him, meaning if he had informed Jun Haru or not.

Yang Zhai knew that Jun Haru would not believe a complete stranger, so Yang Zhai had also added this in the letter: You do not need to believe me, just go along with the plan, and you will know the truth, but you need to take the safety measures. However, don't tell your father about this letter; otherwise, he will be alerted. When you arrive at the Bai clan, I will meet you. Being careful will not harm you.

Yang Zhai knew about Jun Nie's scheme from his previous life. In his previous life, Jun Haru died for unknown reasons after coming to the Bai clan. And Jun Nie killed one of the Bai clan's elders in anger at losing his son and blamed the Bai clan. According to him, the Bai clan had schemed against them and had killed his son on purpose. After doing all this, Jun Nie ran away. And in the next few days, he kept on killing the Bai clan members who went out of the Bai village.

And when the clan leader of the Bai clan returned and learned about the situation and that their elder had been killed by Jun Nie, he went to the Ma clan for answers. However, as Jun Nie was the second elder of the Ma clan, the clan leader of the Ma clan defended him. The Bai clan leader returned back to the Bai village and declared war against the Ma clan to take revenge. As a result, a war broke out between the two clans that lasted for years.

And when Jun Nie died in a battle, Yen Hu revealed everything about Jun Nie's scheme to the clans for unknown reasons. It was revealed that Jun Nie himself had ordered Jun Haru's assassination. A commotion broke out in the two clans after the news spread. This was how Yang Zhai knew about Jun Nie's plan and now, it was going to benefit Yang Zhai.

"I knew it because I heard a person talking to someone about this. It seems to me that there is someone in the Bai clan helping your father. But I could not see their faces because they were covered by hoods. So, we have to be careful and take every step with extreme care." Yang Zhai lied to Jun Haru. He needed Jun for his plans, so he had to make sure to remove all of Jun's doubts. From the beginning to the end, he had done everything for one purpose. From becoming the class leader till now, everything was being done by Yang Zhai for only one purpose.
