Paths

Qian Fa was covered in deep vines and only his face could be seen. He did not have any treasure, but he did not need one to begin with. He also did not have any defensive Kas.

What he actually did was that he was a wood path cultivator and had a Ka that could make vines appear from the ground, seeds, trees, or any type of plant and could control these vines with the help of the Ka. Therefore, he simply used the Ka to control the vines to circle around himself to create a defense.

It was a good tactic, except if his opponent turns out to be a fire path cultivator. But fortunately, the one he was fighting did not have any kind of path. He was using attacks of different paths.

"It seems that he has not developed in any path yet, or maybe he could not find the Kas that belonged to some certain path." Qian Fa muttered to himself.

To develop in a certain path, a cultivator would collect the Kas of a single path and not the random Kas. Such as, if someone wanted to become a fire path cultivator, that person would collect the Kas and treasure of the fire path to only focus on the fire path and master it.

From the earth's point of view, a path could be considered a subject. On earth, if a person wanted to develop in a certain subject, that person would focus on that subject, such as if someone wanted to become a master of chemistry, that person would mostly focus on chemistry and would give less attention to the other subjects than chemistry. And the little bit of attention that the person gives to the other subjects is just to go with the society, as a habit, to get some new ideas or to help that person in their research.

And of course, every subject had different kinds of stages to achieve before going forward. And in this world, there were also different stages in a path, starting from the Early stage, Middle stage, Third stage, Peak stage, Perfect stage, and Over stage. Here, the Perfect stage and Over stage were two different stages.

The perfect stage in a path was when a person achieved every knowledge that a path had developed in this world until the present day. The Over stage was when a person had achieved every bit of knowledge that this world had to offer of a path and started to develop and add new knowledge to a path.

And of course, a person with Over stage knowledge of a path could easily develop new things in a path.

And these stages were pure knowledge and not the powers. And the knowledge of a path does not just come by learning the basics of the path like that. A cultivator had to get insights into a path that already exists by interacting with different things of that path. And of course, the insights that appear are not random. They only appear when a person knows about a certain path by interacting with it long enough. And of course, the insights that appear before reaching the Perfect stage are the insights that already exist in a path. And the logic behind the workings of a path also slowly appears the more a person gains knowledge of a path.

This was the reason people would mostly develop into a single path to not divert their attention and to only fully focus on a single path.

Therefore, cultivators would mostly begin to develop a path from rank 3 or rank 4. This way, they would begin to learn about a certain path and its workings.

Qian Fa's opponent was already injured and was fighting with a blade. Qian Fa ordered the wooden vines to appear from below the ground where his opponent was standing.

His opponent sensed it and tried to jump, but his speed was a little slow because of his injuries and his right foot was caught by a vine. And because of this delay, the other vines also got the time to reach his feet. The vines began to envelop him starting from his feet and began to advance to the whole body. He tried to cut the vines with his blade, but new vines would appear to replace the old vines. If he wanted to escape, he had to cut every vine with a single attack; otherwise, new vines would appear to envelop him again whilst the old vines kept him from getting away.

"Maybe, he needs my help." Qian Fa looked at Feng Qi's injured state and muttered. As his enemy was already busy with the vines, Qian Fa could help Feng Qi now.

…..

On the other side,

Bang Ju and Til Gen were panting heavily, and so were their enemies. All five of them were holding off each other. But, Til Gen and Bang Ju had fewer injuries compared to their enemies. It was because of their working together in coordination that Til Gen and Bang Ju had fewer injuries.

Til Gen made sure to protect himself and Bang Ju, giving Bang Ju the opportunity to attack openly without any worries. However, Bang Ju had still activated his rank 2 defensive treasure just to be cautious. Rank 2 defensive treasure could not do much against rank 3 attacks, but it could still lessen the power of the attack of his opponent. Nevertheless, he did not need to worry as Til Gen was protecting him.

And Bang Ju also made sure that he at all times, kept at least two opponents busy to not let them attack Til Gen together. If it happened, Till Gen's defense might not last long and he may also suffer injuries. And as he was trying to develop in fire path, his attacking power was also no joke: thus, his opponents had to focus on Bang Ju, especially, when Bang Ju had no worries.

Til Gen also helped Bang Ju by distracting his opponents with his attacks from time to time. This way, their three opponents could not focus and were being held back by only two cultivators.

…..

On the other hand,

Yang Zhai moved his left fist forward to punch his opponent in the face, but his opponent tried to jump backward. However, Yang Zhai's reaction speed was fast and before his opponent could even jump, Yang Zhai hurriedly opened his left fist and tried to grab the right wrist of his opponent.

Despite that, his hand could not grab his opponent's wrist and only the bracelet of his opponent could be grabbed by him. The bracelet was separated from the wrist of his opponent because of the backward force of his opponent and Yang Zhai's pulling force.

When this happened, an anxious and scared expression appeared on his enemy's face.

Yang Zhai also saw the expression on his opponent's face and simply smiled before standing straight again.

"Give my bracelet back!!!" His enemy shouted with a furious expression.

"What bracelet?" Yang Zhai smiled and opened his left hand. When he did that, nothing could be seen in his hand.

"How, how is that possible? You took the bracelet from my hand right in front of me." A shocked and gloomy expression appeared on his enemy's face.
