Red Steelheart [1]

Red looked at his surroundings. It is currently night time, and its the first day of them getting transported into another world.

"This would be the first step.."

Red thought as he recalled what had happened in the past few months.

Supposedly, he was about to die, but fate seemed like it had something stored for him.

He actually travelled back in time, to the time period where the World's Awakening didn't start yet. Since even those half-step Creator-Realm couldn't do this feat(Regression), he felt lost.

But then, after he saw those people in the classroom, he accepted reality.

On his past life, he didn't mind it much, but now that he had thought of it, he really became classmates with them..

For reasons that will be revealed in the future, a certain part of the world(Universe) became missing. The planets that belong to that area had their "Will of the Planet" get forced to sleep. As the Will is sleeping, the situation of these planets deteriorated.

Namely, the loss of various energies on their planets. Each planets supposed to have a self-sustaining energy cycle.

The energy spent by its inhabitants will be reabsorbed and be generated into a new one. Sometimes, the Will might have to open cracks to let in more amounts of energy. That's what they call "Cracks". They lead to another world.

Now that the Will of these planets are sleeping, the energy cycle deteriorated. Planet Aquamarine is one of the planets that were affected by this.

To slow down the deterioration, each major forces of Aquamarine made a general consensus: To hide the existence of Superpowers in the public. Since there won't be any more energy consumption due to the increase of usage, it slowed down.

Still, it only slowed down. It got worse up to a point that all Superhumans above B+ Rank deteriorated. Still, they could burst out with power that exceeds B+ for a very short while, thus they still matter. Though, recovery will be another matter.

That's the reason why the major powers in this world only had B+ Rank Superhumans as their main fighting force. This situation continued for 1,000 years.

It was said that just before the deterioration of the energy cycle, the Forecast Tower, one of the most prominent mage towers, made a divination: This situation will only end in more than 1,000 years.

In the present, it had been more than 1,000 years.

'There are so many important people out here..'

Anna Yeriel, someone who has the potential to became a Deity-Realm Combatant with 5 authorities in the future. In the end, she died in the latter stages of the calamity.

Maria Eizenburg, someone who successfully became a Deity-Realm Combatant with 5 authorities. Before she could even affect the battlefield, she got seriously injured by someone close to her. That one person close to her actually submitted to their main enemy in the calamity.

Scarlet Chase, someone who successfully became a Deity-Realm Combatant with 5 authorities in the future. She lived until the end and she was.. Red's wife.

Remembering those bad memories, Red became resolute.

'I swear I wouldn't let the calamity go its predestined route!'

Even Red himself is a Deity-Realm Combatant who had 10 different authorities, thus becoming the Supreme Commander of the Resistance against that calamity. But even he couldn't stop it.

He then looked to another person with sympathy. If that said person noticed that gaze, he would've gone "Why are you looking at me as if I died?!"

Yes, it was Lugh. Lugh Austere Bayer. The man dubbed as "The Greatest Support".

Lugh had severely underestimated himself due to the fact that his Latent Potential is average, but he's not an ordinary mob either.

He was supposed to be average, but he actually has talent in other aspects, namely, his Comprehension.

Comprehension is not limited by rank nor latent potential; It is based on a person's talent.

Lugh's talent in this regard is quite high, he just hadn't noticed it since he haven't tried yet.

He had always used his [Panel] to gain Understanding, thus he misunderstood greatly about himself.

It was at least high enough to make him a Strategist, a Technique Creator, a Martial Arts Teacher, and an Alchemist, which is also thanks to his trait [Dexterous Hands].

Alchemy needed one to have the intelligence and the stability. Since his hands are almost made for it, he succeeded becoming an alchemist. He even alchemized something of S+ Rank in just 5 years after the World's Awakening, although it was also thanks to some other artifacts that raised his stats temporarily.

Sadly, he died during a certain important incident in Planet Aquamarine. It is also important to know that his death caused an even bigger effect.

Aria Frostdragon, the second princess of the Frostdragon Empire. She and Lugh have been friends since the 1st Year of Middle School.

Due to the fact that the Frostdragon Emperor at this time hatched a great scheme against the rebels, he had sent his daughter away to Aindell Nation, to the place where the former Duke of Austere Dukedom 500 years ago resides. He had done so to let her be safe against the dangers at their Empire.

Together with her 2 B+ (S+) Rank guardians, she lived in Aindell Nation for 5 years. It was also not a coincidence that she went into the school that the son of the Former Duke goes to; it was planned all along.

Still, the princess herself didn't know much about it. To further protect her, she even had to resort to disguise: crossdressing.

In the end, both became good friends even without her 2 guardians pushing her from the dark.

It is important to take note that once Lugh died, she had sworn to kill the demon race to extinction. In the end, she really did it with the help of the Divine Dragon Race, one of the forces behind her after she had evolved to a [Ruler of the Dragons—Dragon King].

She died right after doing it though, leaving behind a huge injury to the Divine Dragon Race and the extinction of the Demon Race, the two forces that could've been their comrades against the calamity.

It didn't even end there. Lugh's older sister, who became a Deity-Realm with an authority related to "Karma", went astray on her path, killing people who had committed a crime regardless of whether they changed for the better or not. She had killed everyone even with a little bit of bad karma.

In Red's mind, there are 2 types of evil people: An evil people by nature, and an evil people caused by their circumstances. Usually, those in the latter realizes their wrongdoings in the end. They might end up repenting.

He had seen too many people like those during his previous life. Those people could've been a huge help too, if not for the fact that she killed them all. She lived until the latter stages of the calamity before dying.

'For short, I have to protect him at all costs.'

This is the day that Red, the World's Protagonist, decided to protect that one guy who would cause a huge ripple after his death.
