Red Steelheart [2]

Red Steelheart, one of the sons of the current Duke Steelheart. Due to his father's other wives, he was exiled from the Dukedom.

Steelheart Dukedom is the one that protects the Flammingbird Empire. They are equivalent to the Austere Dukedom of the Frostdragon Empire.

Born from a concubine, he grew up while experiencing the disgust and repulsion of the other nobles.

Even though the world had transitioned from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, this certain characteristic of the Middle Ages is engrained in the blood of nobles.

'I finally took care of this.'

Red thought as he looked at the dozens of weapons that he had asked to be forged.

It had been a month since his regression. Thanks to his God-ranked Mana technique called [Limitless Sky] and God-ranked Aura technique called [Sky Breaker Knight], he cultivated as if he's riding on 10 rockets.

In just a month, he went from F- Rank to E Rank.

But there's nothing to wonder. In reality, even Red thought that it was slow. From E- to A+, the progress would be quite fast. Even if someone only has a latent potential of A Rank, he would still be able to reach it within 10 to 20 years.

It's also because it is a fast-growth transition period. Only when a person reaches S- Rank would his or her cultivation slow down.

'This should be enough for the upcoming event..'

The World's Awakening. It was the first event in his previous life that started everything. The Will of the Planet wakes up and generates the "Cracks" which will connect Aquamarine to another world.

After that, the various energies of the different worlds such as Qi, Mana, and Aura would enter Planet Aquamarine, nourishing the almost empty energy cycle.

With that said, certain phenomenons would appear as well. One such thing is the [Space Transmission].

Due to that, there would only be 2 things that would happen. Either a place from another world would overlap into Aquamarine and get transported here temporarily or a place from Aquamarine would overlap into another planet and get transported there.

After around a month, the overlapped places would then get pulled back by the Will of the Planet.

In that event, they would have to stay in an another world for 1 month, surviving alone on that world filled with magical beasts.

'But what's more worse is that the demons own that planet.'

Since that world is owned by the demon race, it would naturally be inhabited by the demons. Humans and the other races were treated to be livestock there.

Luckily, the entire building got transported into the middle of a forest, thus the demons didn't found out about them that quickly. Still, the dangers weren't just the beasts, but the humans too.

'If I would describe what happened there, it would be a disaster.'

It was fine during the time when the 4 E+ Ranks are there, but when they're gone defending against the beast attacks, a hierarchy was formed.

Some would think that they're the chosen ones when they're now able to utilize their trait, some would trample others, similar to a bully, and so on.

When the 4 E+ Ranks are back, they return to their docile forms. It wasn't as if no one reported those evil person to the E+ Ranks, that said person even got punished.

But when that happened, a mutation occured. The demons, they are able to sense the humans' existence through dreams.

The demons then used that to contract a select few students who are so vile that they signed the demon contract just for their own vanity.

In the end, the location of the building was exposed, and traitors appeared from our group. We were only able to escape due to the blind luck of our Planet's Will pulling back the entire building and its surroundings in time.

In that event, many righteous people died. Those who also have talents either have died, defected to the demons, or have survived. But the ones who survived are numbered few.

'We came in with 680 people..During the first attack, almost 200 died. As for the final count, it would be less than 50..'

630 people died or defected in total. That's why Red called that event "Disastrous".

Still, it won't compare to the events that he had seen during that calamity. Those events far surpasses the adjective "Disastrous".

"That's why.. I will make sure to prevent that outcome in the future. And my first step shall start here."

*****

"It's starting.."

The space looked distorted like an oil painting before returning to normal. As the other students puked, Red and the 4 other E+ Ranks went outside the classroom.

"Just like what we agreed on."

"Understood." (Anna)

"All right~" (Scarlet)

"Mn." (Maria)

"Ok." (Aria)

The 4 expressed their affirmation.

'It worked.'

Last time, during the day he was returned, 3 of them went ahead and spied on him out of curiosity. When Scarlet couldn't bear it any longer, she went ahead and revealed herself, before asking "Are you a Superhuman?".

It is reasonable that they got curious all of a sudden. Since only the one at the topmost of every major power knows about Superpowers, seeing one on the roadside would definitely surprise you.

In the end, Red used his mind to make this situation to his advantage. He is sure that this move will help him in the future.

Red told them of his true identity, and that he had awakened a "Future Vision" trait. He had told them that they will encounter a disaster 3 months later, but of course. Nobody believed it. Still, they also told this to Aria, who was crossdressing at that time.

3 months later, and his words are proven true. He only asked one thing at that time, and that is, "Please follow my orders at that time."

The crew directly jumped from a window in the second floor after leaving the classroom. They all landed fine, as they are E+ Ranks.

"There's a D+ Orc out there. We should deal with it first."

The D+ Orc was the first strong monster that they've encountered in his past life. Just with its roar alone, more than 40 people died. When he threw over his axe and created many earth fissure, 50 more people died.

That's why its important to kill that guy first.

Red used his [Analysis] to read the emitted energies of the monsters. Not for long, he found the one who emitted a D+ Rank.

"This way."

They all went into the forest. Along the way, they killed some goblins and kobolds.

Moments later, they saw it. A 5m humongous muscular monster. He wields a 3m battle axe with his one hand. He looks even more terrifying with his tusks. They hid on a tree 50m away from it first.

"Wait a minute. There's still more."

Right after he had said that, 4 more orcs appeared; one wielding a staff.

"An orc shaman."

"Woah? So that's the one from the books?"

Scarlet asked cheerfully.

"Yes. A mage that has the body of an orc and a control-type trait.."

This is actually the real reason why he went here first. Just that Orc Shaman would bring in more casualties, thus it is crucial to kill it right here.

"We should target the shaman first. What's your roles?"

Even though Red knew, he still asked, so as to not look suspicious. It is a universal knowledge that divining the future is blurry after all.

"A 4-element mage."

"Assassin! Killing others in their backs~"

"Rapier."

"Both Frost Magic and Swords."

Red kept quiet for a while, as if planning. After some time, he finally decided.

"Then, me and Scarlet would kill of that shaman. You three should target a single orc first. After we're done with the shaman, we'll do the cleanup later."

""""Understood.""""

Even though they didn't trust Red well as of the moment, they agreed. It just meant that Red finally gained a bit of their trust.

"Then let's begin."

The first battle that Red had experienced in this life began.
