Frustration Of The Weak

"I loss didn't I," I muttered.

"You didn't winsss," Medusa replied. "but itsss just a lossss," Just a loss? maybe, but it doesn't mean I should be happy about it. Every loss just makes those damn spirits continue to mock me.

'A musclehead with no brain, can't you be like your brother,' was my father.

'Did you really think mimicking me would work with your intelligence?' was my little brother.

'Yes I'm using you, but what can you can do about it?' was my best friend.

*sigh*

I really need a smoke. Dealing with these bastards every day isn't good for my health.

*smack*

"althoughsss I callsss it a lostsss, othersss call itsss a drawsss,"

"You're right though, if I didn't win, I lost,"

"Come one and come all, master and pet get over here and let's have a chat," my gaze turns to the Raticate jumping up and down on the battlefield comically.

Let's get this over with quickly so I can go back and resume training. Flying over behind Medusa, I turned my gaze left spotting a glaring Mareep. F*ck you too.

Landing beside Medusa, I dozed off and woke back up after Pidgey and her master got their reward. I didn't wake up willingly and it wasn't because of getting smack by Medusa this time, it was my instinct sending out a caution, becoming the 3rd message I received so far from my innate ability Instinct. The 3 are Danger, Death, and Caution.

"Lastly, Alakazam here has a few words for you all," Arbok said slithering backward as Alakazam walked forward.

#CAUTION#

"Everyone please look at my spoons for a moment,"

"Medusa, don't look," I quickly told her, my eyes staring at the ground.

"okaysss," Medusa replied confused, but still didn't hesitate and followed my lead. All that could be heard was the disturbing sound of the spoons clashing before finally ending with an uncomfortable silence.

"Interesting. I expected there to be 1 or 2 oddballs but not 5," Alakazam said surprised.

5? With the warning caution stopping, I raised my head and looked to see who else it is. Berserker Mankey, Pidgey... emo Mareep, Medusa and myself, huh.

"Arbolt, why didn't your daughter go to sleep? Shouldn't she be aware of what's happening?" Alakazam asks coldly.

"I kinda forgot to tell her about it," About what? whatever it is, it is definitely important and something a leader should've told her about.

"Pets weren't supposed to know about this... but since you all either negated or dodged my Hypnosis, I will reward you all with this knowledge," Alakazam said.

Curse your father, grandfather, and brothers and f*ck your mother, sisters, and daughters. Say a different word like information, scr*w that K-word. I can't remember how many times I ran away from home because of that word.

"You all and many other groups of pokemon with a similar case to you all will go onto an empty Island," Yeah, I doubt it's empty.

"After 4 months trainers will come over intending on beating and capturing you all. Those that aren't caught after 6 months since the trainers arrived will be freed," Was the reason Medusa and her brother not named because Arbok didn't want to get attached to them aware this would happen?

"Then what's the need of a pet and master?" Pidgey, probably the most normal amongst us asked.

"Pet is supposed to protect the master during the master's stay on the island, but I doubt that's going to work out well. It's more likely for the 2 to ally with one accepting to be the other's pet without the threat of death." Alakazam spoke, his eyes focused on Medusa as if he were giving her advice.

"Who's your master?" Pidgey changed the topic.

"A Team Rocket Executive, now please go to sleep," Alakazam said pounding the two spoons together.

"Dammit," I bit as hard as I can onto my tongue and with Pokemon logic, I didn't have to worry about biting off my tongue, but the pain should keep me awake.

Tailwind? no flying is an easy target for Alakazam. Surrender? not happening. Fighting? no that's idiotic, but I don't got much of a choice, maybe if I can blind them for a good enough while I can escape. I took a step forward and lost consciousness.

...

*smack*

I'm awake! Opening my eyes I found myself on top of a branch on a tree, with Medusa's tail in front of me. Her body wrapped around, the branch and her head still as she scans the surroundings.

"Where are wesss?" she asked and I deliver, using I quickly got the answer.

"Not at your home,"

*smack*

"Inside of a forest, close to the shores... shores?"

"We have arrivedsss," Medusa murmured.

"I wonder how long we were asleep for?"

[Answer: 3 hours]

"Should notsss been longsss, Teleportsss," Medusa said, her tail unhook from the tree, grabbing me as we fell onto the ground.

"Hey," I complained.

"Followsss," she said.

"No," I don't have to follow you anymore, but. "I challenge you for the position of master,"

"Heh?"
