Humanity Strikes Back Part 1

Battlefield - Regigigas vs Red

It has been 20 years since their last battle, back then Red worked together with Blue but was still defeated. Now, his strength has grown where he would've been able to beat Regigigas of back then. This is without mentioning Regigigas of course.

Regigigas may have lost if Sei had not shown up. He had spent those 10 years before Sei's appearance experimenting with Colress.

With Sei's appearance, he was forced to spend some time training. His constant battles with Shub helped him advance to what he considers his limit. He's now slightly stronger than Necrozma during the first war.

#Overwhelming Punch#

Overwhelming is an understatement of how powerful his fist is, if not for Zygarde imprinting Runes of Protection across Earth, Earth along with the galaxy it was in, would've been easily decimated.

#Aura Shield#

Aura gathered before Red instantly. Its defense was nothing impressive when compared with Overwhelming Punch, shattering like glass as it failed to even slow down the fist's descent.

#Aura Enhancement#

Boosting his physique with Aura, Red manages to avoid Regigigas' fist.

*BOOM*

The aftereffects, however, were another story. A powerful shockwave spread forth from the ground, blasting Red away despite the numerous enhancements he added to protect himself.

"Power!" Regigigas shouts, his hand tearing through the metal ground grabbing a ball size of rock and steel.

#Scuplting Mineral Golem#

Tossing the transforming ball at Red, Regigigas' hand slaps away a Mega Charizard that had dived at him using Flare Blitz.

It wasn't just Red's Charizard on this battlefield, but his remaining 5 Pokemons each facing off against one or more of Regigigas' newly formed golems.

The ball thrown at Red had already transformed into Regirock. Aware of its intentions, Red promptly began to defend himself.

#Aura Conversion#

#AE Iron Marble#

Aura transformed into Steel-type energy which quickly creates a marble with him inside of it, it's defense further increase by Aura.

#Explosion#

Regirock unhesitantly goes kamikaze, with it being born able to carry Regigigas' Origin temporarily, the Explosion may have been comparable to the explosion brought upon the detonation of the Pocket Dimension Arceus and Necrozma fought.

Just as AE Iron Marble was about to crack, Red's hands stretches towards the explosion.

#Aura Silicon: Cannon#

Aura condenses creating 2 Cannons attached to each hand.

#Hydro Cannon#

Just as the marble breaks, Hydro Cannon shot forward and the recoil blasts Red afar. He had no intentions of stopping here though and so did Regigigas.

Hydro Cannon was making its way towards Regigigas who simply stomps the ground forming an Earth Wall.

#Longinus#

A golden spear shot out of the ground behind Regigigas heading towards Red.

Red who was being thrown back from the recoil of Hydro Cannon was already aware of Regigigas actions thanks to Clairvoyance.

#Rain of Swords#

Using Aura to form numerous blades around him, Red sent them toward Regigigas while creating numerous Aura Barriers as he continues to be carried back.

The swords shot toward Regigigas with nothing but the explosion in its part while Longinus had already dived straight through the expanding explosion and was already shattering barriers ready to pierce Red.

Humans and Pokemon both can limit break but the stronger one gets the harder and harder it becomes; one could even say Red had reached the limit of limit breaking and the same can be said about Regigigas.

From a power perspective. Regigigas is 10 and Red is 8 and both theoretically can't grow any stronger.

'Pokemons are greater,' Battling Red, Regigigas was convinced of this. The ongoing battles he has sensed showed no signs of a Pokemon at Progenitor Arceus, Necrozma, or Eternatus level.

And most of them have reached the same limit as Regigigas with only Shub and Ouroboros, not at their limits.

It seemed like it was a wise decision not to waste time experimenting on humans. Progenitor Mew had given humanity too much credit.

When all hope seemed lost for Red, he stretches forth his hands to grab Longinus.

*pierce*

And as expected was pierced by it. Red's hands hadn't even halted the spear, piercing straight through his body and stabbing into the ground behind him, leaving half the shaft sticking out his chest.

Automatically, his Pokemons returned back to his balls.

"Disappointing," Regigigas muttered as he walked forward and pulled out Longinus out of Red's body. "We didn't even get to fight yet," he mutters resting his spear on his shoulder.

#Morph#

An axe-like blade grew close to the tip of the spear, making it clear Longinus wasn't a spear at all but a halberd.

"At least the warm-up is over," Regigigas mutters as steam slowly pours out his body signaling the deactivation of Slow Start.

Yes, he was fighting Red this whole time while under Slow Start or rather, the improved version Arceus had crafted for him before he had sealed him. The effect in total isn't any weaker than the game version.

That means half his 'Power' and speed were gone during their fight.

Confused about where to go he finally decided to intervene in Gaia's fight against Kyurem. He did love to see how much he improve as it would mean an even better complete Regidraco product.

Leaving this battlefield, Red finally stands up.

He had wisely changed the course of Longinus slightly, making it pierce his lungs instead of his heart, and quietly returned his Pokemon through Aura.

It can be seen, Regigigas may have noticed this but deemed it as the last effort in saving his Pokemon's lives and chose to respect it. Regardless, both Red and his Pokemons survived this battle.

Pity the injury brought upon by Longinus doesn't show any signs of healing regardless of Red's effort. This meant he did need to just fight in one less lung.

Staring at the direction Regigigas left to, he contemplates his decision while recalling the words of Prof. Oak.

'It's only with the power of the bonds both humans and Pokemons do we hope to challenge the gods,'

Bond Evolution wouldn't be enough, at least not with his Pokemons to beat Peak Regigigas, not to mention there are stronger foes.

For now, he made a choice.

He'll find a different opponent for now. He shouldn't try fighting Regigigas until her understood what Prof. Oak meant back then.
