4- Starting refinement, hidden message..

-

Carl then began working on the array, activating it with some of his devilish death qi—for only that could trigger the array's activation, and without it, it would seem to be normal stone pebbles sitting around on the floor...

Screams of anguish could be heard once he triggered it, as the array functioned on the basis of equal exchange, trading the souls in the town for purified blood and bodies of the souls.

Card smirked enthusiastically, as he was inspired by the shouts and shrieks of those in misery.

He'd completely lost his humanity after being tormented by other humans, therefore he now enjoyed watching other people tortured in the same manner he did, he was basically a massive sadist...

-

After a while, he could no longer hear the screams of anguish as he looked about the town, which was covered in blood and flesh.

Strangely, when he looked up at the skies, he saw no reaction from them.

He shook his head as he stepped ahead and began dragging the remains—around 4,000 bodies in all —to the chamber where he cultivated.

-

Days went by in this manner, and before he realized it, 14 days had passed before he eventually relocated everyone over there.

The reason it took so long was because of the large quantity, which was in the thousands, where it prompted him to create the chamber wherein he cultivated large enough to accommodate that amount.

After he was finished with the corpses, he went around the town, retrieved the nutritious food he need for his mortal body, and then left.

Even if he could eat their flesh and drink their blood as a nutrition, it would be a terrible waste of his time since he needed them to continue farther down his road.

The town now looked more and more like a desolate area left behind by people, but people would only find it strange; they wouldn't link it to Carl because he wasn't a fiend cultivator anymore, he was something entirely different that couldn't be sensed by cultivators of this world or even those lower heavens themselves...

-

After he returned, he began sorting all the food that he need in his kitchen and storing it in a location that would not cause it to spoil—with enough temperature and a proper atmosphere.

-

Following that, he went back and separated the bodies of children—around 500 of the 4,000—and deposited them apart since they were special for cultivating to higher realms.

-

After arranging everything, he began to construct an array with the ability of refining all corpses with their blood in them and converting the energy to devilish death qi, allowing his cultivation to rise without the need to absorb each and every corpse.

Albeit the array cost the same as the first one, which used his blood drops and drew inscriptions, they were somewhat different in that the previous inscriptions had chinese letters formed in them, but these ones had characters that looked like a combination of Korean and Chinese from his first world's life.

Though he saw his bloodline was purer and denser than before, he overlooked it as he didn't give it any thought for the time being.

-

Carl proceeded to place the array until he was eventually done around all 3,500 bodies, and then he got in the middle of the room—where he sits.

Anyone looking at this scene would be terrified to the point of fainting, as corpses were sprawled around with damaged faces, organs, and even their limbs and legs were disfigured everywhere in their bodies.

He then triggered the array and began cultivating, and his cultivation quickly broke through the bottleneck of the devilish death qi condensation realm and began purifying his body.

It thereby began to madly refine his muscles, until it reached the pinnacle of the early realm and broke through.

Body refinement Early realm....

Body refinement Middle realm...

Body refinement late realm...

Body refinement peak realm...

It didn't stop there, as it proceeded to refine his already pure and thick blood, while generating a subtle light around his body as his bloodline became denser...

1/64...

16/64..

32/64..

63/64..

But then it came to a halt at the bottleneck of the blood refining realm, as he felt the time and space around him lock itself, so he frowned, remembering how he felt when he faced death.

But his concerns were unfounded as he sensed his body being transferred someplace... And suddenly a fresh message emerged in his thoughts, which was...

[The last nefarious devil, the current lower world you reside in is nothing more than the beginning of your journey; so make sure you cultivate all the realms that are sent to you, as this will make your foundation as firm as space itself when you successfully fight the current heavens and ascend to the immortal plane after breaking through the immortal ascension realm.

Be cautious, since the heavens in the immortal world are more powerful, but it still won't be able to detect any arrays known to you by the artifact, as it was the only way you learned about your race's unique trait.

You were always a nefarious devil, because the nefarious devil's race was characterized by continual reincarnation. However, your bloodline was locked within your soul, and each time you reincarnate, your soul gradually introduces a degree of bloodline into the body...

As a result, the soul of your first incarnation was a nefarious devil. Even if there were no cultivation energies in that realm, the heavens wouldn't stop hindering us—the nefarious devils.

However, the artifact was created to unseal the bloodlines of the nefarious devils, which led you  beginning to cultivate the real way—against the one of the heavens.

Now for the reason you left that world; every 2 or 3 major realms, you will be randomly transferred to a predetermined world soul or body swap—where your strength is sealed at the peak of the mortal realm.

The purpose of visiting there would be to curb your will while also reducing your ego if you ever arrive to a higher dimension. You must remember that before you transcend and successfully reach the 12th dimension—where everything below it is child's play—you must not become complacent or arrogant.

When you travel to these planets, even though you've undoubtedly been played by the heavens in whatever many lifetimes you've reincarnated in, you must still become a mortal and live alongside mortals.

By doing this, it would hone your thinking by completing missions given to you after each major breakthrough.

The tasks vary greatly, from conquering an empire, which is your initial mission, to dominating the entire world, and more missions that will be revealed in due time.

Because you are the last of our kind, it would temper your thinking about being turned into a suitable nefarious devil.

And it is essential that once you enter a world in your soul form, you employ a sacrificial array of souls to enhance your soul even more. However, if it is your body form, utilize the sacrificial array to grow your body's power to the maximum; you are now in the blood refining realm, and you have reached a bottleneck so require additional sacrifices for your bloodline's purity and density to reach its absolute peak.

When you arrive, you'll be given all of the mission's information, as well as memories of your current standing in that world, in order for you to complete the mission successfully.

There would be more of these messages in the future. It is unknown, however, when you will receive them.

As for your parents' concerns, as being an orphan in every life, don't think about it for the time being since you'll understand once all the missing pieces of the puzzle fall together.]

Carl then considered why he had been called "the last of his race." Was it because everyone had been wiped out? How is he still alive, then?

He couldn't get any answers for the time being, so he focused on the sight in front of him.

Carl then took a glance around, wondering where he was.

{A.N:

There's also no romance. Mc will not become attached to anyone since he will leave that world and return. So he'll merely 'act' and do a few acts to get his hands on the empire.

This is an evil MC, after all. While the quality can't be compared to famous novels, I'll do my best. }
