COUNT 1: SAVAGE

"Back to the line you savage!!"

Thanks to his sensitive senses, Shu managed to pick up the first signs of his peace's inevitable, impending doom.

Shu was in the middle of his evening walk, strolling along the outskirts in a rather mindless manner. His eyes were tracing along with the outlines of the bright stars above him.

Ever since he was just a little pup (a new term for the dynamics living as ferals), he never had anyone in his life other than his late father, that he barely recalled. And while as pitiful as it sounded, he was content. All he truly required in his life was enjoying his own company.

This was another one of his nightly walks after a leisure day at the library when he didn't need to go scavenging for food or needed that early nap for the morning hunt. It was a moment for him to tune into this big and mysterious world.

"You savage."

Both legs came to a slow halt, right next to each other. That line reverberated loudly inside his head like a broken record.

Since he was such an irresistible magnet to trouble, he found himself heading straight towards the source without much of a thought.

Essentially ignoring Donghyun's warning earlier.

And not so surprisingly, he spotted a man tackling another fiercely. In full stealth mode, he carefully got closer and hid behind one of the conveniently placed trees, trying to assess the situation at hand first before jumping in like his instincts were ordering him to. The outskirts were luckily just nearby a forest, but there was also a harbour a few meters away.

There must have been a chase leading up to this.

He huffed, hoping this scene was just a trick of his eye so he could just continue with his night, unbothered. The stars were calling out for his name, desperately yearning for his attention again so he was frustrated. It was then his nose crinkled at a scent he knew by heart.

A dynamic.

Pinned down, the captured man yelped out something unintelligible and the second male pulled out a huge, sharp whip that was hooked in his shady uniform. Shu grumbled to himself at the viciousness displayed before his eyes, especially at the sight of gashes and blood running from the dynamic's back. The man was being hit, repetitively and as much as Shu wished to roll into the case, it was ill-advised when he wasn't fully certain of the situation yet.

There were screams and snarls of pain before they grew quieter and quieter, but what snapped something within him were the men's words:

"Careful, he still needs to go through auction!"

"I don't fucking care, this savage can die for all I care. Let's go."

Said man then sighed angrily before they began to drag their now unconscious victim along the grass and rocks.

Livid, Shu didn't permit them from getting too far, breaking into a rabid sprint.

In the middle of racing towards them at full pace, his body began shifting. His bones cracked boisterously in warning as his clothes ripped and shredded themselves apart from the mere force. The adrenaline caused him to feel not much pain. As he changed as fast as the speed of light, the traffickers could only look back to horror.

Shu's first move was to shove the man that was dragging the man of his kind. He was flung across the field, down onto his back. He leapt in his new form, as gargantuan as murderous boar. Biting down the man's chest evoked a blood-curdling scream before throwing his head around to rip the body apart. Once his work was done, he forcefully threw the dead body aside.

Growling in an animalistic way, he trained his slitted eyes to the rest of the men. With thick red liquid dribbling down the corner of his muzzle, Shu just stared at them dead on with a threatening glare and a dark glint in his eyes that could paralyse one in petrification. One paw was placed delicately over the other, as he crept closer and closer to the men with a low spine-chilling growl.

Instantly, most of them scrambled away in fear. A smart move.

Despite so, one of them stayed behind either. Was he simply brave enough or an idiot to do so?

Both, probably.

Armed with a sniper, the same hothead trafficker, that wanted to kill his own earlier, pointed it towards Shu and screamed out a battle cry, "Fuck you beast!!"

Up for the challenge, Shu only huffed out with smoke-like air coming out of his snout. Within a blink of an eye, the man aimed fire upon the threat. Light on his giant paws, the Omega dodged the upcoming shots from left to right.

Lacking accuracy induced by fear, the man kept missing, allowing Shu to get more near to the horrid man as seconds passed. The beast sneered dangerously with intentions to kill until he nearly loomed over the quivering figure.

Suddenly, there were just gentle snaps.

No bullets.

Shu huffed out a scoff knowingly. Before he could gain any more distance towards the man, said man finally came back to his rational senses and made a bolt for it.

This was a better turnout than expected.

He howled in victory to alert any watchers that they were no match for him, before licking his muzzle to taste iron liquid from his brief blood bath. He huffed once more. Stretching his limbs, he decided this was the end of his evening stroll.

Shu turned his head and scanned the fellow dynamic from head to toe for wounds. Begrudedly, he realised this was probably going to end the man if he just left him be. He strode forward with hesitation and then laid down right next to the unconscious being. Reluctantly, he nudged the man as careful as he could with his muzzle, guiding the body onto his back.

It took quite a while because of its difficulty, with the man being slightly buffed up and quite on the tall side, but he managed to do so in no time.

Although Shu might have the strength to carry the guy in his human form, he decided against it to prevent the injuries from becoming worse. Besides, bringing someone back with this size was easier. Once the man was settled, he took a direct route home into the woods.

He released a sigh again, finding the situation a bit ridiculous.
