Chapter 16

I could honestly say that we were doing quite good against Yugao as I evaded her slash, or swipe since she was still using her scabbard rather than her katana. Cause of course she had only needed her scabbard to dispel a literal yokai summon beast.

Sure she wasn't exactly taking us seriously but I wasn't going full power against her either. I used very few ninjutsu and I never put all my strength behind my hits. They wouldn't kill her unless I hit her in a vital spot but a genin hitting harder than a Jōnin would be weird.

Never knew sandbagging could be so hard.

"Haah!" Chocho yelled as she brought down her enlarged leg on where Yugao was only for the Jōnin to jump away. And then retaliate with a blow of her scabbard to Chocho's stomach, who tried to understand how the Jōnin appeared before her.

"Doton: Doryūsō(Earth Flow Spears)!" I clapped my hands through several seals before settling on a snake seal, causing the earth around purple haired Jōnin to become spikes that attempted to pierce through her. Which were of course avoided with a jump.

"Suiton: Suireiha(Water Spirit Wave)!" Meaning that she couldn't avoid Sumire's water bullet coming at her back.

The water hit the purple haired Jōnin only for smoke to explode from the hit and reveal that the Jōnin had been a clone.

"That's enough." Yugao said as she appeared behind Chocho, with her sword on the chubby girl's neck.

"Chocho!" Sumire yelled at the Akimichi girl.

"Meep!" And the Akimichi girl squeaked in fear as paled to the point where one wouldn't know that her father was from the Land of Lightning.

"Now that your comrade has been captured by a superior opponent, what will you do?" Yugao asked.

This was more than likely our test. It wasn't exactly bell test but Konoha was big on team work. Funny considering how many powerhouses come out of our village who need no team. Problem was there was no right answer.

We could try to fight but with Yugao's blade so close to Chocho's neck it would only end up with the Akimichi girl being dead.

We could say we surrender but that would only end up with all the team being killed.

Fortunately this wasn't a real problem as Yugao wouldn't actually hurt Chocho beyond what could be healed. And since Tsunade wasn't in the village we couldn't heal a slash on the neck. Meaning her threat was, technically, a bluff and Chocho seemed to know that too.

My cue to that, the foot the chubby girl raised and stamped on Yugao's foot. Causing a yell of pain from the purple haired Jōnin. An opening that Chocho used to get away and I placed my hands in a snake seal once more.

"Doton: Ganban Kyū(Stone Plate Coffin)!" The earth moved and jutsu was completed before Yugao could move away.

Stone Plate Coffin was normally a jutsu that trapped the enemy in a dome of rocks before crushing them between said rocks. I had put a personal spin to the technique with smaller and thinner rocks that squeezed the target between them. In other words it captured the enemy rather than turning them into a human pancake.

My version was, in my humble opinion, more civilized.

"Hahahahaha!" Though I do not remember adding a tickling function into it so I have no idea why Yugao was laughing.

"You pass." She said before half of the stones around her fell down. As in the upper half of them slid down from the lower half.

"Though Chocho, I would recommend not doing what you did against an actual enemy. I kept my sword away from your neck when you stepped on me but I assure you that they will pull their blade closer instead." She said as she swiped off the dust on her shoulders.

"Other than that, your attacks were pretty good for a Genin even if they left you wide open against me, try to pull your limbs away after your attacks. And Sumire, your timing with your jutsu was perfect but I think you should train a bit more in physical combat. You are kinda weak in that without your summon." She lectured them. She was already into her teacher role it seems.

"Daiki, honestly the way you fought was close to perfect. Rather than training any weaknesses you need to just train the way you have been training. The only thing close to a flaw is that your hand seals are a little bit slow." She said and I had to concur with her.

To be honest I didn't like using ninjutsu, not because of some asinine reason like it being unnatural or something but because of hand seals. I would have to find a way to get rid of them and that should be possible since one could decrease the number of hand seal one had to make in order to use a jutsu.

Senju Tobirama could use a Water Dragon Bullet with only three hand seals, a jutsu that normally requires forty four hand seals.

"I got it." I said.

"Good, we will start training and taking missions the day after tomorrow. Make sure that you are all rested before then." With her final words said, Yugao flickered away from the training ground. Which Chocho took as her cue to finally fall down.

"Fuah! That was so scary, I thought that we were gonna fail for a moment there." She said as she put her hands under her head as she lay down on the grass.

"Honestly, it was really nerve racking." Sumire said with a sigh as she too sat on the grass beside Chocho and started talking with her.

To be perfectly honest, I had fun. Seeing the way Yugao had so effortlessly gotten out of my jutsu was kinda annoying but the feeling the rush of adrenaline as we fought against the purple haired Jōnin was pretty damn good.

"Hey you two. Wanna come with me and eat something?" I called out to the pair of kunoichi who just became my teammates. I was hungry.
