Family issues

The silence was ended by my small brother Welile just by saying few words that made my dad to look at all of us.

"What are we having for breakfast," he asked as he looked at our parents.

"I think you should be asking yourself that question because no one was made to make you any breakfast here. Just grown-up" Mbulelo responded.

"Shut up wena Mbie, and I wasn't talking to you, "Welile replied as if he wasn't listening to himself or even processing what Mbue said.

"Daddy, can you buy us food on our way to school?"Zinhle asked willingly, not knowing that he was stopping our brothers from killing each other because their faces portrayed a different story.

"You should ask your mom, I am not taking you guys to school I have to drop your sister from the library before I go to work," Trust said, my dad.He said as he looked at my mom who was s but worried.

My dad had to take me to the library since I wasn't going to school anymore, we were not allowed on the school premises if we were not writing. I couldn't stay at home alone because I knew that I wasn't going to study, I was going to watch Netflix or sleep because that's what I do best these days if I don't go out. So, my mom suggested that I go to the library since I can even get more references information.

"That's why I love you, daddy. As for other people, they will go with an empty stomach to school because daddy is spoiling me" I said as I laughed at my siblings because my mom wasn't going to waste her time on people who can't even think for themselves. The only thing that can make her buy them food is only if Mbulelo asks because they get well pretty .

I took my bag and looked at dad. It looked like she was dying inside because it was already late for them to go buy food before they could go to school. Dad walked his way to the door and I followed him, as we were about to get out my sister surprised us all. She took her bag and fully, quickly rushed to us…

"I am going with dad and sis" She stopped at the door and looked at my mom and waved to her brothers and went out of the house, she walked to open the gate, more likely make herself useful. So that dad can agree to take her to school.

As I was about to open the garage my mom and my brothers came out discussing they were going to buy for breakfast, I can't say I wasn't jealous, but I knew that dad wasn't going to disappoint me. My brother rushed to help me open the garage since I was still carrying my bag, which was heavy. We both opened the garage and our parents followed each other and both started their cars.

My mom came out first and parked her car outside the gate, and dad followed her and parked his behind hers. Zinhle stood outside the gate, not knowing anymore on his car to go to. My brother and I closed the garage as well as the gate.

My brothers both walked to my mom's A4 Audi and opened both doors and went in. I pulled my sister and we both entered on a c class 180 mercedes benz . She went to the back as I went to sit in-font. My mom hooted for my dad, and she speeded her car off, my dad followed her. They dove on the same roads until my mom stopped and drove to the McDonald's drive-thru. My dad speeded off until he drove at the parking lot of Nortchiff corner.

He came and opened the door for me, then he did the same for my sister. We walked out of the car and walked on our way in. He held my hand as he walked and held my baby sister in a side hug, positive. We walked in and went into a family traditional small restaurant.

Dad ordered a full English breakfast for him and my sister, while I asked for ribs with a small coke with chips. Another thing about me, I will order anything, no matter if it ain't fit for that particular time of the day. When our food arrived, we eat in. I thought we were taking it as takeaways since my baby sister was already late, but dad said it is fine we can eat in. When we finished eating, dad paid, and we walked to the car and dad drove Zinhle to her school and lied, he told them that she had a doctor's appointment that's why she was late… When they asked for the doctor's note, he told them that he left it inside the car since he was in the rash.

When we finished, we walked to the car, and he drove me to the library. On our way to the library, he asked the last question I expected him to ask.

"Where were you on Friday because you never went out with Chantel and you decided to come in the morning knowing that your mom will be worried about you… How can even that man let you do a sleepover? I mean, you guys have been dating for only two months and I thought I was clear that you should not rush into things?" I wish I was able to read his facial expressions,, but I couldn't since he was focused on the road.

"Okay, firstly I am sorry for not letting you guys know that I wasn't coming back home, and it's not that I planned that, I was not aware that all that was going to happen. And I never lied about having dinner, it's just things happened out of our proportion and I promise you that dad, nothing happened. I am not rushing anything,, and it's not like anything serious happened." I said, not fully open on telling him about that night. Likewise, I couldn't let him know that I blacked out. He was going to be worried.

We spoke about everything and I ended up telling him what happened but not all the details. He was pissed, and he had all the rights to,, but he told me not to repeat it. He stopped the car outside the gate of the library and I went out of the car since he was extremely late. I waved at him as he was speeded off.

I walked inside the library.
