Secret Note

I walked out of the library with my beg on my back. I had no clue how I was going to get home since I had no money on me and that left me with one option which was walking home. As I was about to call my mom, my dad called.

"Hello ba'" I was hoping that he had good news for me, not that I am lazy to walk home,, but I feared walking alone.

"I am sorry nana that I forgot to give you money in the morning, I hope you are well there. I am still in the meeting currently and I will come to pick you up at 3." He said, and hung up the call before I could reply to him.

I waited for my father to come and fetch me. Since I was bored, I decided to check up on Tlo. I called him, and he answered on the second ring.

"My cupcake, how are you, my love?" A smile escaped on my face. Tlo has a way to make my heart, his voice makes my adrenaline rush.

"I am well, how are "

"I am good,, but I am just tired since I had to attend 3 lessons today and I have another one later on."

"You will be fine baby, don't worry, hard work always pays off." I am bad at comforting people,, but I had to be there and encourage him not to give up.

"It's an okay cupcake, what have you been doing since you are not going to school anymore"

"I went to the library to study there since I cannot study at home. Now I am just waiting for my father to fetch me"

"Okay, baby and I wondering what you will be doing on Friday after writing physics?"

"I will just go home after, since I don't have anything planned"

"I guess I will be your plans, can I take you out, maybe we can go watch a movie"?

"Okay, yeas we can go"I was happy because spending time with him is what I love, I enjoy being around him even though his presence makes me lose control of my body.

"It's a date, cupcake," he says with His filmy voice.

We spoke for about 5 minutes, and we said our goodbyes since he had to attend to something. I went through my phone just to keep myself busy. As I was going through my emails, I noticed that the man who was in the library with me was sitting behind me. This time he decided to sit behind me, my back was facing him. I turned my back and looked at him.

Before I could say what I wanted to say, he beat me to it.

"If I were you, I was going to let it go because it will ends in tears," he said and looked on his phone.

"You seemed to be bothered by my life, what is going on?do I maybe know you from somewhere?" It was not scary at first,but now it was getting out of hand.

"I'm sorry to bother you a bit but in due time you will know, Anyway why did you leave the library if you were going to sit out here all alone?"

"I thought you were bothered by me, and why are you here?" I asked as I pushed the negative thoughts about him. I felt it would be better not to be seen as paranoia.

"I saw you sitting here all alone, so as your guardian angel I thought of coming here and keeping you company," he said with confidence as if he was my heavenly guardian angel.

"Thank you,, but I never got your name"I looked at him with a questioning eye.

"You will know my name in no due time since it seem like shit will get down as soon as I anticipated "

I always thought that I spoke in riddles, but this man was beyond me, I tried to read between the last me, but I failed l. We kept the conversation going, even though I could not understand what he was trying to tell me. As we were still talking, I saw my dad's car approaching. I stood up.

"Bye ,it was strange meeting you stranger" I walked towards my dad's car.

I opened the door and got inside. I closed the door and greeted dad before he could start the car.

"I thought I should buy you McDonald's since you had not eaten, and I am sorry I took time, I had to attend another meeting" he looked worried.

"Thank you and don't worry I am well" I took the takeaway from his hand and opened it, I started eating as he looks at me.

"Baba, can you teach me something "I finaly broke the silence as I took my last bite

"I am guessing that's another favor you are asking me to do, come with it "he engrossed on the road.

"Can you please teach me how to drive?" I shakily asked.

"As long as you are not going to crush my car and I cannot risk it."

"But dad, please"I begged him

"I will talk to your mother first,, but I don't think she will agree because she thinks you might kill yourself with the speed," he said, and a laugh escaped his lips.

I don't know what is wrong with me with the high speed. I just love it, maybe It's just that it's associated with danger. I looked at my dad as he laughed at me.

"But baba, I am asking you because I know that mom won't allow me to learn to drive"

"Okay,, but I ain't promising you anything, "he said like he did not have a choice.

He drove me home and went back to work. I went inside the house and found my siblings already at home. Mbulelo was making food in the kitchen, while Zinhle and Welile were watching anime in the dining room. I greeted them and walked to my room.

I took off my jumpsuit and wore my shorts with a over size t-shirt and wore my slippers. I then took my bag and took out my books so that I can pack them nicely on the shelf. As I took out my geography study notes, a latter dropped on my bed.

"Break up with him and I told you that I will never let you go that simply" it read.
