Chapter 9: The Swirl of Events

As Jiwook and Bella reached Bella's house, Bella told Jiwook that he could just go back to his house and there is no need for him to stay back.

Jiwook: You still have not replied to me if you would let me rent a room in your house?

Bella: I don't think I can, Jiwook. I don't want any further complications. I am sorry.

Jiwook: Hae Rae was just joking just now. Please don't take out your anger on Hae Rae on me.

Bella: I am not taking out my anger on anyone. It is just that you are one successful businessman and your dad owns three companies around the world. Just imagine you staying at a house like this? What would people say about you or your dad?

Jiwook: My dad wouldn't mind. He likes you, remember? Are you talking about Hae Rae now? He is crazy. Very playful and immature sometimes. Just ignore him, can you?

Bella: Immature guys are dangerous sometimes, Jiwook. Don't trust guys like that. Keep a distance. I have to go in now. Have a nice day, Jiwook!

Bella turned over to walk towards her house and Jiwook just sighed hard in the car. He couldn't understand why Bella was so against him renting a room in her house. He knows he has to try harder to convince her about this. Jiwook drove back his car to his house and parked at his spot. He entered his house and walked straight to his room. He realized that Hae Rae was already sitting in his bed waiting for him.

Hae Rae: You dad seems to get stronger each day? I am glad!

Jiwook: Are you kidding me?! What is wrong with you?

Hae Rae: What? Aren't you glad that your dad is getting better each day?

Jiwook: Not that! Why did you have to ruin the moment for Bella just now?

Hae Rae: Oh, that! Well, she does do this for money, right? So, I just pointed that out. Is that wrong now?

Jiwook: It is! Bella is doing it because she knows you as her friend not because of money. Plus, about the kiss rate, she doesn't do that.

Hae Rae: What do you mean she doesn't do a kiss for the service she gives? I heard she kissed a guy for a huge amount. I have photos too if you want to see them!

Jiwook: Enough! Get out! Don't come over unless I say so! Now, get out!

Hae Rae: You are chasing me out for Bella now? Wow, Jiwook! You are just so hooked with that witch! Can't you see that she has changed you just like that?

Jiwook: No one changed me. Do you think I am chasing you out because of Bella? You speak evil of her when you don't even know her well.

Hae Rae: Just remember that all this is just an act! Come to reality, Jiwook! Bella is going to hurt you and I don't want to see you hurt again!

Jiwook: I can take care of myself. Bella has nothing to do with this! Just get out now!

Hae Rae stormed out from Jiwook's room angrily and turned back to him.

Hae Rae: Don't regret later, Jiwook. Bella is not the girl for you. Trust me.

Jiwook: I know and now off you go!

Jiwook saw Hae Rae walk down the stairs and open the front door as Hae Rae walked out from the house. Jiwook shut his room door and lay on his bed and looked at his phone. He was just upset that Hae Rae assumed things about Bella and he knew that he now has some feelings for Bella. He just couldn't deny that he has fallen for her a little bit but he couldn't let Hae Rae or Melinda know about his feelings. Suddenly, his phone rang and he jumped up from his bed, startled a little.

Melinda: Are you free now? Can we talk?

Jiwook: Yeah, sure. What is the matter?

Melinda: Can you come over to the house tomorrow evening? It is my birthday party. I have invited a few this time.

Jiwook: I will try, Melinda. I can't decide anything right now. I am tired. I will text you later, can you?

Melinda: Sure, but try to make it. I will be glad if you can come.

Jiwook: I will try. I have to go now.

Melinda: Okay, bye!

Jiwook ended the call with Melinda and got up from his bed. He grabbed his towel and took off his clothes. He tied his towel around his sexy waist and walked into his bathroom. He just wanted to sink into a warm bath in his tub so that he could relax and decide what to do next. All he could think of that day was Bella's beautiful face and her chatty character. He sighed and sank himself into the warm hot bath in the tub and closed his eyes.

Mr. O II's bodyguard: Sir! Sir!

The bodyguard knocked on Jiwook's door frantically calling for Jiwook. Jiwook opened his eyes immediately and tied his towel on his waist as he came out from the tub. He opened the door and looked at the bodyguard in confusion.

Mr. O II's bodyguard: Sir, your dad is not responding. He is still and cold on the bed.

Jiwook: What?! Did you call the ambulance?!

Jiwook ran towards his dad's room and approached his dad who was laying on the bed unconscious. Mr. O II's bodyguard told Jiwook that he has called the ambulance and he has informed all of the bodyguards to stand by to follow the ambulance. Jiwook checked his dad's pulse and was relieved that his dad was still alive. Jiwook did CPR on his dad immediately but his dad just did not respond to this. Jiwook told the bodyguard to look after his dad as he would go and change. As Jiwook got dressed, the ambulance arrived at the house and Jiwook assisted his dad in the ambulance. The rest of the bodyguards followed the ambulance in the car behind. Jiwook just hoped that his dad would make it through without any complications.
