Fog #4

The hallucinations continued for yet another person among the group and it was a female deer Mink who was standing within the fog.

Her scenery changed and so did her body as it had grown smaller, she was only the size of a small four year old child and there was a male tiger Mink who had a cut over his eye standing over her. "Milky!"

The deer mink had become startled and timidly answered back. "Yes father."

He coldly looked toward her and spoke. "You are not suitable for what I have to teach and I do not see any potential in you to be a strong warrior. From this day on you are no longer my daughter… only the strong can be recognised by me as my child.

If you join Catviper and can get strong enough then fight me to prove that I was wrong all along then I will apologise to you. Now go."

Milky was upset and felt deeply abandoned by her father. "Father please.. I will be obedient. I will work harder. Please!"

Her father became more cold and pushed her down to the ground then yelled. "Begone! Never show your face to me ever again!"

Milky burst into tears and fled towards the distance where she had met Catviper and had immersed herself in the tough training so that she would get stronger.

The scenery had changed many times along with her growing taller and older as her body underwent harsh training which allowed her to become a valued member of the Night Guards.

It was just one ordinary day when she was training with great determination when Catviper had appeared by her side and stopped her. "That id enough child.. I am sorry but I have something to tell you about your father. He.. he is dead."

Milky dropped to her knees and put her hands to her face. "No.. no. This cannot be real. What happened? How could he possibly die?"

Through those many years of tormenting herself, she had the goal to surpass her strong father just so that she could prove him wrong as he had asked.

No matter how foolish it was to still hold some love towards her father who did such a thing to her, he had pushed her in the right direction to where she could grow better and the words of her father had given her some hope and motivation before she was harshly pushed away.

Her hard efforts had suddenly been for nothing and she collapsed to her knees. "No.. please. Not so soon. I still haven't.. uwaaa."

Suddenly Catviper's voice had become colder and then said. "He died on a mission outside of Zou, he was a strong warrior and he will be missed. You would have never been able to beat him as you desired. Why would he accept such a naive and foolish child like you who believes such words?"

Milky was lost in her despair and mourning but the cold words had cut deep into her heart.

Her mentor had been so cruel to her which was very unexpected, Milky rose to her feet and ran towards a large amount of rocks then slammed into them using her head and the antlers on her head. "Aaaah! It is not true! Wake up! Wake up wake up!"

It was like she had hit her limit and could no longer endure any more so she had chosen self harm and possibly death if her attempts were successful.

Just as her real body was about to hit into something, a powerful wage of Conquerors Haki had knocked her unconscious.

Milky lay there quietly and tears rolled down her cheeks while Alyssia stood not too far away. "Tsk.. how troublesome."

Alyssia knew a little about the story of Milky from the time she spent in the Night Guards within Zou, the story was very similar to what Milky had experienced but when that time did come for her father, there were many who had become close to her and had supported her through that difficult time.

Even Catviper had said many kinds words and that he had recognised her even if her father did not so she had been able to mend the wound in her heart.

Her hallucination had become a bad version of those events where she received no help and even Catviper had been cold towards her when she needed that support.

All her efforts were useless and she could never get recognition for all she had endured and experienced over the many years.

It had been reported that a crazy pirate had been wearing explosives on his body and chose to die along with her father once they knew they could not defeat her father in combat.

He was a poor parent but he was a warrior Mink of Zou that had done a lot for his homeland so many had mourned his death.

Milky had been forced to put her past behind her after she finished mourning his death and had chosen to stay within the Night Guards who had accepted her for who she was.

She became the second one to almost be harmed within the fog and had to be subdued in order to protect them from themselves.

The weakened state of mind and the many emotional outbursts only helped to make her very vulnerable to a wave of Conquerors Haki and no matter how strong she had become, she had fallen down unconscious with a single targeted attack from Alyssia.
