Asylum

Since Stussy had brought it up, Alyssia was a little interested in what information could prove to be useful.

If the information was not too helpful then she would not be too bothered about it but she would rather know about anything that could fill in the missing pieces to complete her plan.

Even the smallest thing that seemed useless could be the things that could help out at a later date so she did not deny Stussy from speaking even if it could cost her.

Stussy continued upon seeing Alyssia showing some interest. "Well.. you asked me to look into who is connected to everything and I have handed all of that information over already.

The things is.. you are not the only person trying to look into these matters and I have had some others try to get the same information from me. I denied them of course… no use getting involved with all that mess.

The power of them is rather small so they would not be able to do anything and there would be problems since I provided the information to put a target on certain peoples backs.

Its not like I fear the power of others but it is always best to keep your enemies closer in this line of business. We all may be competing in our own ways but there are usually certain lines we do not cross unless we wish to provoke a war."

Whether it was an underworld family or organisation, each of them had their own way of doing things.

Each one would react differently but they would not take kindly to those that caused disruptions to their business.

Since they were busy trying to keep up their image and respect among their subordinates, they could not let something that harmed their business be left alone without taking action to set an example.

An example needed to be set to keep their subordinates in line and not to see weakness in their bosses but there was a need to do the same for those outside of the group.

If they looked weak to others then their group would seem like it had lost its edge and could be taken advantage of.

Alyssia understood that Stussy was just keeping the peace so that she would be bothered by less troublesome things.

Handing over information to someone about one of her customers and especially someone who was higher in status, it could not be done so easily unless she was to hand it over to someone who could handle it cleanly without there being any problems for her.

Alyssia nodded as she understood the situation. "So.. is this matter worth pursuing?"

Stussy shrugged. "It is worth looking into I think. They came more than once only to be rejected by me. They have not been silent and lying low either.

It seems that one of the smaller districts have been taken over and there has been some growth over the past year since they made any bigger moves. The district has been renamed as the asylum and it is full of people who have lost or have given up on their names."

Alyssia thought to herself. 'The only people who would want to be looking into the same things as me are those that are connected to it in some way. Perhaps it is someone looking for answers or revenge who has been directly or indirectly affected by it all.

If that is the case then perhaps they could be a willing participant in my plan that could provide some additional knowledge or support. It would be unwise to ignore this and not look into it a little.'

She took more of an interest and asked. "What kind of place is this 'Asylum' anyways?"

Stussy sighed. "Originally it was just a bunch of worthless people who went around enslaving others and robbing people of their identities. Once that person arrived, there have been changes and it has developed a lot.

The location has been known as the no name district due to the frequent rumours surrounding it and that has not changed. The groups previously in charge of the no name district fought others and whoever won would claim the name and ownership of a person.

Those who lose in that place live on with the identity of a number but it could really just be described as being someone else's pet or slave. You can imagine the kind of things they get up to."

Alyssia nodded. 'Probably underground fights, slave trade, using others to do their dirty work and it probably was the type of place where someone would be used to death by their owner.'

Alyssia asked. "So what type of place is it now?"
