Zero

The green haired man who introduced himself as Zero stared at Alyssia for some time as she sat in silence.

There came a sudden change as his eyes rolled back and he fell back with his body leaning against the back of his seat.

A sudden attack came from Alyssia that came too suddenly and without being spotted by anyone.

Conquerors Haki had been directed towards Zero and it resulted in him passing out.

Alyssia remained in her seat facing him and continued to speak. "This is a fun little game that has been prepared for me.

I praise you for your efforts but these tricks will not work for me. He may have put on a good act but he is not Zero. Now let's get down to business.. miss Zero."

She leaned back in her chair and removed the hood over her head before removing the whole thing to look towards the woman standing behind her. "Come have a seat. We have much to discuss."

Despite being found out so soon, Zero stepped away from the door and walked around to find a seat so that she could face Alyssia. "How did you figure it out?"

Alyssia shrugged. "This guy does not have the charisma of a leader worthy enough of the rumours surrounding 'Zero'. Among those I have observed upon arriving here, there has only been one person who has a natural disposition suited to being a leader."

She thought to herself. 'And I have a system to help look into the skills each person possesses so figuring out you were the leader was quite simple.'

Among methods used by monarchs or leaders of any group, Zero had made use of one which was used to avoid assassinations and to leave other matters to others while dealing with other matters more under the radar.

It was the type of situation where few people knew the real identity of Zero and those that did know her were very few.

It was easier to set up a doppelgänger or fake ruler in her place to make use of so that she could work behind the scenes while avoiding most of the major threats involved.

In a place where everyone was dressed up and in disguise, it was very easy for the leader to blend in among them and take up a false identity as one of the numbers.

It would allow her to make trips around the lands to visit those who lived in the area to see more of their living situations.

The more she could learn and discover, the better it would be to keep the No Named District under her control and to become much better than before.

It was a good way to avoid a lot of the threats involved in the underworld and if there did come a day when her fake died, she would have to put someone else she trusted in that place or would be able to move on to another place without being identified as the real boss.

It came with big risks if those around her betrayed her suddenly but it had already been a long time since she had dealt with the more troublesome people who knew her identity and would cause problems.

The overly bright coloured and playful patterned clothes on the body of Zero did not look like how a leader of an underworld leader dressed.

It would be even less likely for a woman to be identified as the boss since there were few women leaders that held power over so many men unless they possessed a special bloodline or race of some kind.

Despite her slender and tall appearance that did not look strong like many other women, her body did possess quite a lot of power for someone of her age range.

Alyssia may not have been able to look into the name and history of a person but she was still able to see the skills they possessed and the insights they gained in life to help improve them so it was enough to let her investigate a little about each person she met.

The green haired man who called himself Zero had fewer skills than the real one and those he did possess did not let Alyssia feel too impressed.

There was some acting and decoy skills in his skillset so she was able to spot that he was a fake from those.

While she was seated, she decided to purchase some new skills with the many reputation points she had which needed to be spent.

Among those that Zero possessed, there were many related to all kinds of subjects which suggested her background was not ordinary and she was well read.

Her combat abilities were worth Alyssia paying attention to since her physical stats and combat skills were above the green haired man suggesting that she was above him in terms of ability.

There were many management and leader based skills so it pointed her in the right direction allowing her to guess right.

Zero sat opposite her and nodded. "I am Zero. You guessed right… and you are?"

Alyssia changed back to a more professional appearance as she began. "Alyssia Lucine of the White Storm. I have come today to discuss working together on a joint venture in the Mercy Kingdom.

I heard that you have been looking into those matters and have been denied. I have already got everything I need to move my plan forward but having another ally would not hurt. Of course that depends on if our goals align."

The face of Zero turned more serious as she listened more.

As if to conceal her emotions, she straightened her body and out on a blank face as if she was experienced in such matters like negotiating and dealing with other people who were seeking advantages. "It depends on what you plan to do in Mercy Kingdom.

I have heard of the White Storm but I have never seen your image before so I apologise. Getting outside information in this place is not so easy especially when I am trying to raise a small fund of my own to support my plans in between managing this place."

Alyssia nodded calmly. "I want to help the White Storm to build one of its foundations there and to deal with the underlying problems ongoing inside and outside of Mercy Kingdom."

Upon listening to those words, Zero's hand trembled a little before clenching onto her dress. "Let me think about this."
