In no time, we transitioned from the lively, crowded atmosphere into a peaceful, surreal area. With goat beast men attending to fields in earnest and a humble single road leading up to a hill, it gave me the feel of a countryside.

“My master lived most of his life as a common farm boy, so after being declared one of the Beast Generals, he decided to bring a piece of his childhood to the capital.”, Quillburn explained, somehow having noticed my interest. “And now, he’s the main distributor of grains, maize and rice throughout the empire.”

“Rice?!”, I perked up. “You guys have rice? Oh dear God!”

I wasn’t really a fan of rice, but after months of no rice, even I was craving something from home.

“Hm?”, His eyebrows furrowed for a moment. He said nothing after that. Time to look into his thoughts.
