Secret Army

We were headed towards the Imperial Palace as soon as the sun touched the sky.

Normally, we’d have to reserve an audience with the emperor at least 2 months ahead, a month if it was an emergency. And no, it wasn’t because the emperor was a hardass, but rather the Oxaivalon empire was so large the emperor rarely had time for other things. His schedule was quite literally filled up for a month at any given time.

The only ones who could bypass this were his generals and even then, General Ivory was apparently more favoured than most generals for us to get this meeting the day after he asked for it. It goes to show that it was good to know the right people.

Thank you, cyclops guy! I’ll make sure to give you a name when I get back!

“Alright, Hinotori, remember what I said?”, Ivory asked, staring at me excitedly.
