Exhaustion

Kawaii frowned.

Due to her gelatinous form, practically no one would ever notice the slime’s displeasure, but her friend, Ulva, who had spent quite some time with her, could instinctively tell that something was wrong.

“Kawaii? Are you alright?”

She asked, poking at the black slime.

Kawaii’s body giggled. She then jumped out of Ulva’s arms and morphed, growing larger and more complex in shape. In place of the slime, there was now a young, scarred woman, taller than Ulva. She patted Ulva on the head as she responded.

“Yeah.”

She then turned her head to Grimm, who hadn’t moved an inch since they returned. He furrowed his brows, a bit confused by her sudden actions.

“What?”

He barked, tired of the awkward silence in the air.

“I think I messed up... Teehee~”

Kawaii was shameless. Grimm’s confusion was overwhelmed by anger, then disappointment, and finally acceptance. With a heavy sigh, he shrugged and inquired further.

“What happened?”
