Chapter 2
"Congratulations, Mr. Fernandez. The surgery went well. We just need to monitor his health from now on. We don't know if there's any complications or not" the Director of D City Hospital humbly said while holding the medical reports of Samuel Fernandez.
Miguel Fernandez delightedly shook hands with the Director and immediately went towards his son's bed.
He gently looked at his sleeping son.
Samuel was dreaming in his sleep. He saw a little silhouette which he cannot recognize if it belongs to a girl or boy.
Then, the scene changed suddenly. He found himself inside a room and he gazed around the room.
Then, a heartfelt sobs of a little girl caught him off guard and he found a ball of blankets on bed.
"Papa... Papa" the little girl cried softly while calling for her father. Samuel couldn't help himself but walked towards her direction.
He sat down beside the little ball while listening to her cries which tugged his heart heavily.
He was about to shake the little ball but the door slammed open.
A middle-aged woman entered the room with a wooden stick on her hands. Although she's already on her 30s, she still looks so young and beautiful.
"You brat..! Shut your mouth or I'll rip it off!" the middle-aged woman shouted angrily at the little ball on the bed.
However, her appearance was contrasting her bad personality.
Samuel frowned and subconsciously stood in front of the middle-aged woman to stop her.
However, it seems like the middle-aged woman didn't see him and just passed through him like a ghost passing through walls.
Samuel was petrified.
"Tsk! Do you think your father will believe you if tell about what I've done to you?!"
"He will never believe you!"
"Do you know why? Because you are the reason his first wife died! She died of child labor!"
"And now, you are calling for your father like he's your last hope?!"
"In your dreams!"
The middle-aged woman bombarded the little girl a revelation she couldn't accept.
No wonder her father didn't look up at her. If ever he does, his eyes are filled with coldness.
No wonder her father always left her with the servants.
No wonder she didn't hear him saying 'I love you' back to her, every time she does.
No wonder her father just happily smiled at her stepsister like a biological daughter.
No wonder... No wonder.. No...
The little girl emotionally broke down as she clasped the bed sheet while crying loudly.
The middle-aged woman grinned from ear to ear and pulled the little girl's face forcefully to look up at her. However, the little girl's eyes are devoid of emotions.
"Thats why I said, you need to give your heart to the Heir of Fernandez Family so that they can love you back like a family"
The middle-aged woman whispered but her voice sounds like a devil who came from hell.
The little girl nodded while tears fell down her cheeks.
'Papa, how can you love me?' the little girl thought and a sudden idea came up. She looked up the middle-aged woman and smiled but that smiles are filled with desperation for affection.
"Will Papa love me back after I give my heart to the Heir?"
The middle-aged woman's eyes shone and nodded as she slowly coaxed the little girl to sleep.
Beside the bed, Samuel was desperately shouting at the little girl while clasping his chest as he felt heartache for the little girl.
"Don't believe her! Please! Don't! Don't believe her!"
Mr. Fernandez was stunned to see his son's hysterical cry while sleeping.
He immediately pressed the button for calling the doctor.
"No!! Don't believe her! Pleaseee!!" Samuel was crying while doing his best to warn the little girl but everything went vain until he heard his father's voice calling for his name.
He woke up crying. His eyes turned red and immediately hugged his father.
"Papa! Papaa! That woman is so bad! So so bad!" Samuel said while sobbing on his father's embrace.
Mr. Fernandez tried coaxing his son until a group of doctors entered the ward.
Then, a nurse injected Samuel a medicine for him to calm down which made Samuel dozzed off and no longer dream about the little girl.
The Director personally checked Samuel and found no problems on him.
"What's happening to him?" Mr. Fernandez asked worriedly while his lips trembled.
"Mr. Fernandez, this is a normal occurrence after an organ transplant. I didn't see any negative reactions of his body towards the new heart organ" The Director said while checking the medical apparatus attached to Samuel.
Then, Mr. Fernandez saw another Doctor Physician who frowned like he is thinking of something impossible to happen.
However, Mr. Fernandez didn't want another problems to occur on his son's condition.
"What's wrong, Dr. Amorsolo?" Mr. Fernandez asked while staring at the doctor behind the Director.
The Director squinted and stared at Dr. Amorsolo but didn't say a word.
"Uhmm... This is just a speculation circulating around the medical world about organ transplant" Dr. Amorsolo started but still hesitated if he should say it or not.
Mr. Fernandez saw through him and didn't want to hear such thing. However, there's a voice inside him saying that he should listen.
After all, it is about his son's condition. He won't lose anything if he somehow knows about such speculation or not.
"Dr. Amorsolo, please tell me what's in your mind" Mr. Fernandez encouraged him to do so.
Dr. Amorsolo sighed.
"Twenty years ago, there was once a girl with similar condition to your son. She also needed a heart organ for heart transplant but no one was willing to donate their heart for her"
"Because they know that once they donated their heart, it means the donator is dead"
"When the little girl almost cannot hold on much longer, a message came to the parents and told them that there's a heart organ but it is not a donation"
"The one who came to the little girl's family is the father of a little boy. The little boy was not with him and everything was decided by the father"
"The father illegally took his son's heart and gave it to the parents of the little girl in exchange to 100 billion dollars"
"Of course, the little girl's parents didn't know of what the little boy's father have done and happily accepted the heart organ"
"Miraculously, the heart organ is compatible to the little girl and the surgery went well. All medical apparatuses showed that she is healthy and has no problems"
