Frantic

Wha-where am I?

Aseko looked all around him, realizing that he is in the compound of his house, with the buildings restored to their former glory.

Over the past weeks, he has been reconstructing the entire place, but right now, the buildings all around him look exactly as they did all those years his father was still alive.

Is this a dream? A memory? He thought to himself, looking around at the snow covering the ground. There is no snow anymore actually. He remembered the sun in the skies and the days getting warmer. However, the word 'snow' feels strange on his tongue.

Feels … familiar, which is strange because … it should be familiar. I see it every year. But right now, it seems different. I don't know why or even how that is.

Looking around him, he got to his feet and began walking through the snow, feeling the cold against his body as though he really is in that place.
