Innocent beauty

Quang swallowed her pride and bowed her head. She wasn't prone to begging, but if it would help in this situation then why not?

"Kind sir, would you please let me stay in your house for a little bit longer. I promise to pay you back..." She pleaded.

She had never begged someone before, never in her life. But here she was, begging a literal stranger she met last night.

The man looked at her and looked up, as if weighing his options.

He then looked at her again and sighed. "You're welcome to stay here until your friend gets better." He said. Quang slowly rose her head with wide eyes.

Was he serious? Did he just agree to let her stay? Who was this man?

Her eyes lit up and a sweet smile formed on her face. "Thank you so much sir!" She exclaimed. No one has showed her this much kindness in her entire life! Well, apart from Lia of course.

"Ivin, Ivin Reeves." He said as he reached his hand out to her. "Quang Giang." She said as she put her hand in his.

"A pleasure to meet you Ms Giang." He playfully said before he bent down and kissed her hand. Quang was surprised at his gentlemanly gesture. A faint pink color appeared on her cheeks. Did such men still exist in this world or was he the last one?

"You should go to your room and freshen up. I'll asign someone to bring you your breakfast." Ivin said, taking a step back to make a comfortable distance between them, not that he didn't mind being close to this girl. After all, it's not everyday he let's a young woman live in his mansion.

Without letting her respond, he walked past her and out the main door, accompanied by 3 butlers.

After she took a bath, the maid she met earlier came in with new clothes for her to wear.

"It's nice to know that you'll be staying for a while ma'am. It gets awfully lonely here since the master is rarely home." she said.

"Well you should be thanking your master for letting me stay." Quang said with a small chuckle.

She took the clothes from the maid's hands and went into the bathroom to change.

"Oh I forgot to ask for your name." Quang said from inside the bathroom. "My name is Cheryl ma'am." Cheryl politely said. "Nice to meet you Cheryl, I'm Quang." Quang said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Quang. I mean, Ma'am."

A chuckle from Quang could be heard from outside the door and Cheryl laughed with her.

"I must say that it's very rare for master to bring a girl home and let her stay. It's usually a one night type of thing." Cheryl said as she took the white jacket that Quang slept with from the bed and folded it neatly.

The bathroom door opened and Quang walked out wearing the clothes Cheryl gave her. She was wearing a loose dark pink tank top that stopped just over her belly button, long black jeans and brown sandles with her hair styled neatly in a high ponytail.

"Well, I kind of needed a place to stay and Ivin was happy to offer it to me" she said as she walked over to the small cupboard next to her bed to charge her phone.

"How could he have refused when you look this lovely." Cheryl said and Quang flashed an embarrassed smile. "I'm sure he didn't agree because of that. A man of such luxury has probably met far prettier girls than me." she said.

"But non possessed your innocent beauty. He might have agreed because he wanted to help you, but your appearance has certainly influenced his decision in some way." Cheryl teased her with a wink.

Quang blushed and hurried towards the door. "If you don't mind I better get going. I have to check up on Lia at the hospital." she said hurringly.

"But you have to eat first. The master cooked your meal himself. You cannot leave without eating." she said.

"Oh I'm sure Ivin won't mind if I eat it when I come back." Quang said and before Cheryl could say anything else, she rushed out the door.

"I really hope she's the one." Cheryl said to herself with a smile.
