Competition #2 part 1
The second stage of competition finally began.
"Greetings, Players...
Welcome to the second round of competition.
This time, the difficulty level have upgraded to B grade.
I won't haggle much on useless words, first, each races, divide yourself into six group each. If the number is uneven, its not in my care. The odd number be the odd number...
For this competition, there is an exciting game prepare just for the players.
Its called 'Snake and ladder'"
Jyn smile, letting the word sink in.
"An information is send on what the games is about at your wristband"
The players activate the wristband, a panel appeared containing the information of the game.
"Players, please enter the teleportation, stand along with your group, further information will be given after entering the playing ground"
Some players have a nervous expression while others remain calm.
Group by group they enter the teleportation stage.
A light shone, once the light faded away, each group found themselves in a gigantic snake and ladder board.
There are five group in each board.
Jyn holographic body appear on each board.
"This is a contest between five group of players. Each group have a dice, the number of dice represent the number of step you all will take. The one who reached the number 100 is the winner and be given a reward. The second to reach will be exemted from going through a trial while the third and fourth place will have to go through a trial to climb towards the next stage of competition. The last group to reached will be exempted from taking part further for the competition. Players, I wish you good luck.
The hint for this round of game that might be able to save you : I walk on water, but I am not a god. How do I walk on it?"
Jyn smile and wave them a goodbye, her holographic figure dissapearing.
The brightly smiling expression of Jyn does not leave a good impression for the players.
Each team of six stand on a floating disc. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue.
A childish announcement was then heard.
[Red players please throw the dice]
One person from the red disc throw the dice. It was number five.
The disc move towards the number five. The one who throw the dice heave a sigh of relief.
The snake picture was at 4. They barely graze past the snake box by one point.
[Orange player, please throw the dice]
One player from the orange disc threw the dice. He clasp his hand in prayer, his prayer was answered as his dice land on three.
The orange disc move towards three step.
[Yellow players, please throw the dice]
One of the yellow player throw the dice after solemly kissing the dice.
His kiss must contain bad luck as the dice fall on 4.
The yellow player : "....."
'I swear my kiss is not deadly!'
The yellow disc move above the board no 4. Once it reach the step no 4, the disc dissapear, the six player fall inside a 30ft long pit.
As soon as they fell, Jyn holographic body appear, this time, it was not herself but a
Premedited record which will trigger when they fall on the pit.
[Ohh... What a bad luck, what a bad luck. Falling on a pit of snake. Worry not, the first half of the snake was only an A grade. But, once you proceed further, the snake grade became higher all the way to SS. Good luck next time to not fall on the snake pit. Players who fall on the snake box must climb up the ladder within five minutes and avoid being killed by the snake. Good luck and have fun surviving hmm hmm hmmm....]
The six players who fall at the pit was not as happy as Jyn humming a tune.
3 A grade snake started to appear.
The players have three S psyche, one AAA psyche player and Two AA psyche player.
Beast are those whose fighting capability is stronger than their grade.
The six player hurriely climb up the ladder while the S grade player was at the end, resisting the snake attack. They have a tough scale but they can cope with it. What troubled them was the later games.
The snake grade will be higher. If the snake grade reach an SS grade, they will be incompetent to resist their great force.
Glancing around the board, there are 75% number which contain a snake.
There is no balance.
The cons are greater than the pros.
Then there is one thing that can balance the cons.
The word hint: I walk on water, but I am not a god. How do I walk on water?
They have to figure out its meaning before they encounter a tougher foe.

Many players have reached midway of the snake and ladder game. The snake have gotten stronger and stronger.
A group fall on the pit again.
This time, the three snake was an S grade.
There are only one S psyche in their group, the others are either AAA or AA.
The beast fighting prowess was always stronger than their grade.
The snake venomous glare and its intimidating aura leave a cold sweat to the players.
"Have anyone figure out the hint"
"Maybe that person have wings!"
"Wings!!!"
Nothing happened.
"Think fast, we only have 5 minutes to climb out of this pit!"
"The Gurmund race are light and can float on water!"
"Gurmund!!!"
Nothing happened.
The six players grit their teeth. Their expression becoming more and more unsightly and in haste.
The suppose leader grit his teeth and finally spat out a command.
"Press your life bar if you all think you are going to lose your life"
His teammates have an ugly expression. They are only a little more than halfway, they are going to meet a much tougher snake. If they used their life saving panel, what will they do then?
Used all their life bar?
What a joke!
But the group have no other choice.
The life bar was pressed by five of them. They are immediately transported outside.
One player however remember his inventory, he put his bet on it and pressed the raven card.
An announcement was immediately made.
[Player Shinimar have used his raven card.
He is concealed from the snake. The card was in affect for 15 seconds]
The player hurriedly climb the ladder, he only have 15 seconds. But, the card really is useful. The snake did not notice his presence at all. They look around confusedly.
He is an AAA psyche. Without the disturbance of the enemy, he climb out the pit in a matter of 10 seconds.
His teammate also could not perceive his existence.
Once the alloted second was over, he was slowly notice by his teammates.
His teammates look at him in amazement.
That was a great item.
The player also felt a bit regretful, such a good item. It will surely come in handy in the later competition.
He catch the raven purely by luck. Who wouldv'e thought that the effect would be that awesome.

The Galactic netizens were also guessing hard on what the answer to the hint would be.
As the games continue, there are more announcement that the raven card was used.

Another team of players huff breathlessly.
There are three S grade beast.
There are two S psyche in their team, the others are a one AA and the remaining AAA.
The Three AAA psyche players tackle one S grade snake. The other two S Psyche faught with one snake each.
The snake was fast and ruthless. It also have a hard scales with poisonous venom.
It fork it tongue menacingly, it red eyes gleaming.
The AA psyche bit his lips, his teammate have let him go up first while they fight with the snake.
He feel uncomfortable being the burden.
"Ya know, after the competition is over, I have to go back home, buy a ticket and go to the stadium to support my niece on her ice-skating performance"
One of the S psyche player chuckle while breathing heavily.
"Is it? Anyway, is this the second S grade beast we fight?"
"I guess so"
"Who woulv'e thought that at the time of such crisis, my potential would level up and defeat an S grade beast bare-handed, twice!"
"Don't act all cocky, you still have'nt defeat this one, concentrate on this third one, we only have two minutes remaining"
They are wounded, but the snake were riddled with wounds as well.
They still haven't press their life bar. There is still 40 steps to go, the snake will become much stronger.
They have to preserve for that time.
But as they continously go on with the game.
They are already dead tired.
The AA psyche hearing their conversation suddenly thought of something.
Ice-Skating...
Ice...
"Everyone, quickly say freeze"
He shouted hurriedly.
His teammates did not know what he meant but still say the word 'freeze'. As soon as they say that word, the snake freeze.
They are surprised.
But time does not give them to haggle at such changes, they quickly climb up the ladder.
The players pat the shoulder of their weakest teammate for figuring out the hint.
There are also many team who figure out the hint.
The person can walk on water because the water freeze.
This way, the many snake pit was balance.
But...
The players also gradually realized that the stronger the snake, the less time they freeze.
For an S grade snake, it freeze for about 8 seconds. The SS grade snake freeze for about only a fraction of 6 seconds.
Each freeze word work only once.
They have to climb as fast as possible before the snake unfreeze and caught up with them.

There are players who could not figure out the puzzle. They have used up all their life bar, they forfeit from the competition.
There are those who figure out but was weak and have a bad strategy, they have used up their life bar and forfeit.

Sabnock watch with teary faced at the first place team.
Their team was in second place.
Not lucky, not unlucky.
No reward, no trial either.
Jyn holographic figure appear.
"Well Well, congratulations players.
And a special congratulations to the first place.
You all have received a dice, it was prepared for six player. There are six dice, a dice containing 1 dot, a dice containing 2 dot, a dice containing 3 dot and so on and so forth.
The amount of dot represent the amount of SS grade snake you can summon that might just help you in your need. Its a one use item so used it with care.
And about on how to divide which player will have which number of dot, choose among youselves. Thats not my job"
The players are all brought at one ground.
The first place stand in one side, the second place players at the other side and so on and so forth.
Jyn glance at the second place players.
"Second place players will get a reward of...."
Jyn deliberate..
Some players eye lit up.
Are they going to received a reward as well? Their mood started to lift up.. Anticipation and excitement written on their face.
"Nothing"
Their lifted mood fell down again.
'Why say such misleading word when it was nothing in the end!!!'
Some players glare hatefully at Jyn.
Jyn raise her brow.
"What? What you gonna do about it?"
She snicker provocatively.
"Just like your reward, 'Nothing'"
The second place players: "...."
'If you are not the Queen of Zerg, we will have long beaten you up!'
They internally scold Jyn in their mind.
The provocative arrogant look of Jyn was truly hateful.
Sabnock have a teary eyes.
'My goddess despise me but I stil like her, what to do? Waiting answer online!'
'I found her arrogant face cute too, what to do? Quick, need an answer online!'
Next game, Sabnock promise himselves to take the first place.

There are not much bad comment on Jyn.
When a person is too powerful beyond measure. Instead of fear and hatred, mostly, they would feel respectful.
Her competition where the dead occured, the people subconciouly ignore the dark side.
When a man kill a single person, he is a criminal. When a man kill thousand, he is a hero.

1/3 rd of the the participants were eliminated or either forfeited.
There are some dead players.
One of the reaaon was their teammate using them as a bait to save themselves as they didn't want to waste their life bar.
Those players were harshly criticize by the netizens.
There are those who was not fast enough to escape and get caught by the snake before they press their life bar.
There are also a portion of players who stubbornly refuse to give up even after their life bar was gone thus loss their life in the end.
