12. Can't take my eyes off him

Ria, Airin and I were ready to go to the Anyelir hospital in the morning. Ten people practice in this place apart from the three of us, we gathered in the hall shortly after. Three people from the hospital and a lecturer came in to do the handover for us who practice here. From the hall, we immediately orientated the room led by Aulia, finished the orientation, then Aulia divided us into two groups in the emergency room and the internal medicine ward and asked the head of the room to schedule our shifts.

There was nothing special when I was in charge in the ER ward or the internal medicine ward, and we were in charge of adjusting the nurses in charge in that room. It's just that when I was on the night shift, sometimes I remembered what happened that night with Ali, which gave me goosebumps.

Until now, I still remember when the woman's body slowly disappeared like it was made of a hologram. There was a lot of pain on her face, but I ignored it at that time, but the pain in her face disappeared as soon as my hands and Ali's touched each other.

Time passed quickly without realizing that I had been practising at the Anyelir Hospital for two weeks. After the night shift in the ER, I went back to my boarding house. After not sleeping, I felt tired because many patients came to the ER.

After bathing, washing clothes and drying clothes, I walked to the terrace and sat there. I like sitting here because the atmosphere is very comfortable. The breeze blowing through the trees and plants in this yard makes me feel peaceful. I intend to call Harsya when my gaze collides with someone in the house next door, which is a male boarding house. A three-meter long piece of land separates that place from the house I live in, and the land is usually used for parking vehicles for the residents of the boarding house next door.

I was quite surprised when I saw the guy standing there, talking to Arif. The hospital where Ali practices are quite far from this place. It took more than an hour to get there. Ali smiled coldly when our eyes met, and I quickly looked away. It is the first time I've seen him in the past two weeks, and I feel my blood boil as I remember our last meeting that day when he cheered me on.

I turned to Airin, who had just come out of the house and sat next to me. Like me, today Airin also just got off the night shift. Airin glanced at the house next door, and her lips immediately broke into a big smile when she found Ali's figure there. Airin is one of Ali's fans, and she has liked the guy for a long time.

"Hey, Al. Here, please!" Airin's scream made me turn back to the guy. Airin waved her hand and asked Ali to come to our place.

I didn't expect to see him step foot onto the terrace of this place. In the past, he always avoided my presence. Ali smiled broadly at Airin then and sat casually on one of the sofas in front of me. I could feel my heart pounding faster and my breath suffocating as his cold gaze caught mine. I pretended to be busy with my cellphone and ignored his presence while Airin immediately sat beside Ali.

"When do you come here?" asked Airin in a spoiled tone.

" Just now, not even half an hour," said Ali kindly.

"Surprisingly! What wind brought you here? Do you miss me?"

"The wind misses," Ali laughed.

I looked up at him without a smile, our eyes met, and I quickly looked away from his eyes. That gaze made my blood swish. Airin and Ali immediately engaged in intimate conversation. I only occasionally chimed in when Airin involved me in conversation.

I complained in my heart when I couldn't stop my gaze that always fell on Ali even though I turned it away repeatedly. I feel Ali's face is like a magnet that attracts me to keep looking at him again and again. Ali looks like a perfect figure. No wonder many girls on our campus are chasing him. I stood up to stop her charm and said goodbye to the two.

"What are you going, Zie? Let's talk to Ali first while he's here," said Airin.

"I Want to sleep. Last night, there were a lot of ER patients. I'm still awake tonight," I replied, pretending to yawn.

Seeing me standing, Ali also stood up and said goodbye to Airin and ignored me.

"Incidentally, I still have business with Arif, and then I'll also say goodbye, okay. Sorry for disturbing your rest.'

"Don't bother! I'm just glad you're here!" Airin answered spoiled and looked disappointed with Ali's departure from her side.

I just kept quiet but couldn't keep my eyes from staring at him, staring at his back which was slowly drifting away from us.
