Chapter 7

Hsien Lian rolled out his shoulders, looking around. Heaven really was a place that Hsien Lian had missed. He never disliked Heaven, but he needed a break. Though, he couldn't exactly pinpoint what. "So what's first?" Chen Guo teased, laughing quietly. Before Hsien Lian could give him an answer, Jing Mei shook her head.

"The first thing you need to do is talk to Tao Wu. He's going to explain everything to you." Jing Mei explained. Jing Mei wasn't exactly Tao Wu's assistant. She was actually the Queen of the Gods. She ruled them with the same amount of power that Tao Wu held. It was incredible. "Explain what?" Hsien Lian asked.

He turned his head to look at Jing Mei curiously. She sighed, before continuing to look forward. Hsien Lian furrowed his eyebrows, a soft and confused form painted onto his lips. "Is something wrong?" Hsien Lian asked. It seemed Chen Guo and Fang Hai weren't there anymore. It was just Jing Mei and Hsie Lian. THe other two are still visible, but silent as a mouse.

"Well, the Royal Gods have all decided that you will start off as a Noble God." To most that wouldn't mean anything. To most, it would be great. For most, it would be incredible to be a Noble God. But for Hsien Lian, it was one of the worst things that could be said to him. From a melee to a noble.

Hsien Lian looks down, smiling softly. "It's fine. I understand." Hsien Lian said instantly. Jing Mei was silent, which wasn't odd. Not to Hsien Lian, not to hen Guo, and not to Fang Hai. Everything seemed silent. Everything seems stressful and quiet. Hsien Lian sighed, painting a bright smile onto his face. "It's okay, right? Nothing bad will happen. So, was that what Tao Wu was going to tell me?" Hsien Lain asked, turning to Jing Mei.

She smiled softly, taking a breath of relief before shaking her head. "It wasn't what he would say, but I'll allow him to explain it to you." Jing Mei smiled. Chen Guo leaned slightly on Hsien Lian. "So, how does it feel to not be a mortal again? Well, technically you weren't a mortal but you looked like one. How does it feel to be a powerful god?" Chen Guo teased, beginning to laugh Hsien Lian shrugged.

Being like a god, ironically didn't feel that different. Your organs don't get rearranged, and you don't feel your aura. Well, not unless you've learned how to. But that was a hard skill to learn. Tao Wu stepped into the long hall, looking up at Hsien Lian. He smiled, nodding his head. "You are back. Did they kidnap you?" Tao Wu jokes. Fang hai scoffed.

"If we kidnapped him, he would be screaming." Fang Hai smiled, leaning onto Hsien Lian's other shoulder. The god pushed them both off,b before bowing to Tao Wu. "Hello." He mumbled, waiting a moment before standing back up. Tao Wu smiled. "Your back I see? How was being a human?" Tao Wu asked.

It wasn't mocking or sarcastic. It was obvious he was being nice, nowhere near hostile. Tao Wu was never hostile. Not to Hsien Lian, or any gods for that matter. He was a very good leader, smart, kind, and sympathetic. That's probably why he didn't kick Hsien Lian out of Heaven for whatever Hsien Lian did wrong.

Not like Hsien Lian couldn't remember.

"It was fun. I got to see things that I didn't as a prince, or a god." Hsien Lian answered respectfully. Jing Mei smiles. "Tao Wu, I will see you in the main hall." Jing Mei nodded towards him, before stepping away. Tao Wu nodded, glancing at Jing Mei before looking back at Hsien Lian.

"You two may leave." Tao Wu says, looking behind him. Hsien Lian turns around, seeing Fang Hai and Chen Guo glaring at each other. How could they get into a silent argument? Chen Guo quickly nodded, grabbing Fang Hai's hand. The Eastern God pulled Fang Hai towards the end of Hsien Lian's kingdom, leading to the open market. Hsien Lian turned back to Tao Wu.

"Walk with me." Tao Wu says Hsien Lian quickly followed in step with the Royal God. "Um, Heavenly Deity, is something happening that I need to know about?" Hsien Lian asked Tao Wu to lightly shake his head before sighing. "Well, technically, there is one thing. Do you know about the God's Reaper?" Tao Wu asked.

Hsien Lian thought for a moment, before shaking his head. "The God's Reaper? I don't believe so." Hsien Lian mumbles, sucking in a breath. Tao Wu sighs, nodding. "I had a feeling you wouldn't. The God's Reaper is a ghost that seems to be going on a killing spree in Jiuhua. The humans in that city has given the ghost the name God's Reaper." Tao Wu briefly explained. Hsien Lian furrowed his eyebrows, confused. "Why their God's Reaper? Are we working with the ghost?" How could gods work with ghosts? Hsien Lian didn't know.

"It's killing in a temple. Ironically, it's my temple. I believe it is killing everyone that goes to that temple. Which is why I want you to go down there." Tao Wu says. Hsien Lian widens his eyes, looking over at Tao Wu. "Go back to the Human Realm? To find a ghost? Are you sure you want me? Of all people?" Hsien Lian asked. Tao Wu nodded.

"In the end, it is your choice. I believe it as a way to make you a Melee God once again."

Hsien Lian widened his eyes, but this time with excitement. This was Hsien Lian's chance to become a Melee God once again. Hsien Lian couldn't let it go to waste. "Is it just one ghost?" Hsien Lian asked, continuing to walk calmly with the ghost. Hsien Lian's aura wasn't the best, especially since he was only a Noble God.

He wouldn't be able to do as much as Fang Hai or Chen Guo would. He would probably need their help, just in case. Tao Wu hummed. "I believe so. Some Nobles closed down the mountain, so no humans could enter, as well as added talismans so the ghost couldn't escape. All that is needed is for you to defeat it.

"That is, if you are up for it."

Hsien Lian didn't have time to think. This was his chance, his only and last chance. He couldn't just ruin it. Not now. "Will Fang Hai and Chen Guo be with me?" Hsien Lian asked. At first, Tao Wu didn't say anything but he soon nodded. "They can come along." He allowed it. Hsien Lian sighed a breath of relief before nodding. "So, when should I leave?"

"Now."
