Chapter 15. Where did they go? (Restless days. Part 5)

Autumn has come, my most disliked time of the year, because cold weather begins with it and an atmosphere of loneliness is created.

After going to class, I didn't see Katayashi and Nila, and it was only with them from the class that I managed to get along well…

After the first lessons, they did not show up at school, I decided to write to them, but, unfortunately, there was no response from them.

Suspecting something was wrong, I decided to take a walk around the school and look into the classes where Mika and Miguru studied, but, unfortunately, they were not there either.

As soon as Fukishito was in class, I decided to ask her what was going on.

She just turned away from me and muttered to herself : how do I know…

It all got weirder and weirder, almost no one showed up at school on the first day after the holidays… What could it be connected with?

I devoted my whole day to this question, after school I decided to look into the student council in order to find out from Kara if she knows anything.

But, unfortunately, even here Kara only shook her head and asked to leave the office quickly, because she had some things to do.

Leaving the office and turning the corner, I met Laji. It was very unexpected and I shuddered.

- Are you looking for your friends? Ha, you won't find it at least that easy," Laji suddenly declared.

—What makes you think I won't find them?" And what do you even know about their location?

- Hee-hee, that's how I revealed everything to you, you'll find it yourself, since it's necessary, and I have to go.

I was enraged by his words and I took him by the collar so that he would not be so arrogant.

"Hey, hey, let go!" he shouted, trying to break free.

I let him go, because I didn't want anyone from the disciplinary committee to support Laji's side.

Still, the case was gaining a strange turn, Ladzi was clearly involved in this case, and, I think, not only him…

There is definitely an organization behind this.

After Karou was released, I decided to tell her about my assumptions.

For some reason, she laughed and said:

- Oh, you made me laugh Akato-kun, how some first-year student can be behind a kidnapping case, I think he just decided to scare you.

Then I remembered that Karou doesn't know anything about cards and about the power of Laji, in fact, too.

Oh, it's a pity that I have no one to share my arguments with, because I can't tell anyone about my cards and this is my main problem…

A few days passed, and no one showed up at school. During these days I felt loneliness more and more, and autumn multiplied this feeling, as if I was left alone forever…

Suddenly, during the next lunch break, when I was sitting and thinking near a tree, a call rang on my mobile.

Neela called:

- Akato-kun, please help us, we have been sitting at home for several days, and we can't get through to anyone, as if there is some kind of barrier on our houses, the doors are all jammed at once, so are the windows, and I don't want to knock them out, because they cost a lot. Somehow I got through to you and then with the help of Katayashi, he somehow managed to forward the call.

- Okay, I'll come after school, I hope you're all right.

- Y-yes, everything is fine, but it's just not very cool to sit in the house for a few days, even if you can't open the windows…

After school, I went to Otsuko's house, but I didn't expect to see this…

There was no house there, as if... only one piece of land remained here, as if there had never been a house here.

Coming closer and walking near the house, which was not there, I realized that it clearly exists here, but it seems like it is not.

It was as if invisibility had been thrown over the house, of course I couldn't get there either.

The most difficult task I had to solve…

Yes, it was clearly connected with the maps of the stars, but they were clearly not used by Nila and Mika, because they could not use such a stupid spell on their house. On your own and also several houses at once.

The organization that was formed by that weirdo Ari-san that Uyato-san was talking about was clearly connected with this.

What does he want from me, why did I bother him so much? I asked myself this question for several days until I met him myself.…

But, as for Nila, Mika and other friends:

Nila came up with the idea to use the light scattering map that she received after meeting with Uyato-san. She also freed everyone, only before that she, of course, disguised herself as some kind of wizard so that they would not find out her identity.

And so we all went to school in a good mood, and the usual everyday days of high school students began.
