Grace couldn't stop smiling as she made her way to her apartment
'I guess I owe Anna dinner for the amazing night' Grace thought
the night with Lucas had started out as awkward but after a few drinks they started talking even sharing jokes and laughing and laughing. turns out, they had a lot in common, they both love working, they both have no stable hobbies, they both like to read and they were both drag to the club, they also shared a slow dance. Grace head was hazy and up in the clouds half the time but it was so much fun 'or should I buy her a yacht?' Grace mused
she fell asleep as soon as she hit her bed, clutching her purse and still wearing her fitted dress and high heeled shoes

when grace woke up, her head ached and her whole body was sore all over not from a hangover but from sleeping like an octopus

grace groaned feeling tired even after sleeping till brunch time, a smile crawled up her face as she remember the events of last night she then frowned as she considered the possibility of it being one of her silly Lucas dreams. she rushed over to our phone and sighed in relief when she saw the picture of herself and Lucas laughing
'nothing can ruin my day now' grace grinned to herself until she remembered that she was invited to Maria's wedding
"ugh! the one day, the one day I actually want to stay home" grace complained

she rushed to get ready and meet up with Anna and her husband because she didn't want to go to the wedding alone. normally she wouldn't mind going to events alone, something about walking into a room looking cold, unapproachable and elegant made her feel powerful, but for today grace wanted to keep a low profile maybe snag that multi million deal with Maria's soon to be husband in the process
according to the colour code for the wedding, grace wore a royal blue v necked dress with a silver belt, it was a flowing dress so it hide her silver pumps. clutching her silver bag, she followed behind Anna and Ethan
'trust Maria to turn her wedding into a red carpet event' Grace had to admit that Maria had out done herself for pulling of such a lavish wedding setting'
"why wasn't our wedding like this" grace heard Anna teasing her husband
"I would have given you the world but I remember someone wanted a simple wedding" Ethan replied teasingly as he wrapped his arm around his wife's waist
Anna just giggled and snuggles closer.
moments like these makes grace so jealous of what her step sister had. a loving husband and a baby on the way and a home not a sad lonely penthouse. grace has only herself to blame, except for her crush on Lucas she had little, in fact no interests in dating, she doesn't even have hopes of dating Lucas
she sighs as she snagged a drink from a passing waiter
"hey Grace" 'ugh what now' grace thought as she turned to face, whoever
"oh Anna, its just you"
" who else" Anna said with teasing grin
"I thought one of my many nemesis have come to spite me for coming alone"
"yeah" Anna agreed "you're at odd term with my husband and he is the nicest person I know"
"its not my fault your husband was such a nerd besides that was over eight years ago"
"or.. you just accept that you are a bully" Anna said wiggling an eyebrow
"I know am a bully, I made peace with that fact years ago,it just means that your husband was bullied by a girl two years her junior" grace smirked
Anna scoffed " almost everybody who knows you is scared of you, you are crazy, besides Ethan didn't react because he is a gentle man"

Grace was awestruck by none other than the infamous Lucas Lin who was walking side by side with his sister Luna who was wearing a metallic silver dress while he wore a royal blue tailored suit
'oh mama' Grace gushed.
