Anna watched as grace and Maria sized each other up with fake smiles
'at least great smile is more convincing, this should be fun' Anna thought sipping her drink getting ready to enjoy the show
"oh am good, just celebrating my last night as a single lady" Maria 'meekly' said while flashing the diamond engagement ring on her finger "what about you what's new with you?"
"nothing much just having a couple of drinks" grace said causing Anna to scoff up her drink 'why isn't she gloating?' Anna wondered
"just having a couple of drinks." maria repeated dumbly. clearly shocked by Grace's lack of sass
"yeah I would have loved to join your bachelorette party but we haven't meet in a long time, it would be weird if I just joined in" Grace said with a some what polite smile
" oh....okay...sure" Maria stuttered completely confused throwing a questioning glance at Anna who just shrugged
'she must still be sick or something' Anna thought very confused herself
"see you at the wedding...right?" Grace said still smiling.. politely for that matter
"yeah....yeah....sure" with that the soon be bride walked away clearly trying to figure out if she was in the wrong universe or dimension.
Anna stared at her step sister is she just set down and continued sipping her drink
"what?"
"I should be asking you, you were polite and nice, you were even smiling" Anna almost screamed
"so?" Grace asked raising a brow
" what do you mean by 'so' that was Maria, the Maria the senior that was dating Lucas Lin back in high school, the Maria you made cry, the Maria that's was clearly here to spite you and gloat about her wedding to that big shot businessman" Anna was starting to get mortified by grace behavior
"exactly, she is going to be getting married to the CEO of one of the country's biggest real estate company, I'm mean and crazy not stupid, I'm working on a new project and I can't afford to offend 'Mrs big shot', besides did you see her face when I was polite to her? she was so confused" grace chuckled
realization hit Anna, grace was not being 'nice' because she didn't have anything to say, she was being nice because she was a manipulative and calculative deceive snake "you are so evil" Anna couldn't help be amazed by Grace cunningness
Grace laughed it off like that was an everyday thing, considering the facts, it probably was

about 30 minutes later, Anna and Grace where ready to leave
"don't forget to pay" Anna chirped
"what! why should I pay? you're the one that brought us here"
"oh please, you're a multi millionaire remember?"
"when you drag people from their homes to a club, I think you should be the one paying" Grace argued
"fine" who could ever win an argument with a four times debating champion.
Anna brought out her card and passed it to the bartender
"your drinks has already been paid for" the bartender said returning her card
"by who" grace demanded causing the bartender to shriek in fear
"by me" said an amused masculine voice from behind
"Lu..Mr.. Luca's" Grace stuttered
'oh my god, is Grace Tang blushing?' Anna suppressed a gasp. it always surprised her how grace would turn from a confident cold and manipulative woman to a stuttering mess anytime Mr Lin was near, of course Lucas Lin is charmingly gorgeous but this is just being outrageous
"Miss Grace I didn't expect to see you here" Lucas said flashing one of those million dollar smiles
"oh um, you must have met Anna my sister, my step sister, she said I needed a break and she can be quite pushy" Grace replied looking so very flustered
"am not pushy" Anna scoffed
Lucas let out out a hearty laugh 'definitely gorgeous' Anna thought
" of course Ethan loves to brag about his beautiful wife" Lucas teased causing Anna to blush
" Ethan never told me you were such a tease" Anna muttered shyly
Anna's husband Ethan Long and Lucas Lin have been close friends since childhood so Anna and Lucas were quite familiar with each other
" Ethan also told me that you were pregnant I don't think this is a place for pregnant women" Lucas said genuinely concerned
"oh...I'll be leaving in a moment, promise not to tell Ethan" Anna practically begged, even though her doctor gave her a clear that she could say in crowded and noisy places, her husband would flip if he heard that she had gone to a club
" I'll try to keep my mouth shut"
"you know what?, why don't Grace keep you company while I take my leave" Anna suggested
"but....but.....but" Grace stuttered not even disagreeing, something flashed in Lucas eyes "sure I'll love to have company since my friend seems to be busy" Lucas agreed eagerly maybe too eager
'they should call me Anna the match maker' Anna giggled to herself as she left the club.
