when Grace called Trevor up for explanation on why there is a huge photograph of him on the wall in her room. his clarification was that he won't be around for two weeks and he wanted her to think of him while he was away. he even told her not to try and take it down.

didn't nobody told him that constant trespassing on private property is a crime. it definitely didn't matter because the guy is an almighty criminal mob boss. the bastard even had the audacity to frame the picture's portrait with LED lights

even her office had a small picture of Trevor on her desk. she didn't even bother with the pictures, carrying on with her daily activities

"excuse me, Miss Grace" her secretary called through the intercom

"yes"

"the people from Lin enterprises has just arrived for the meeting"

"sure, I'll be there in a minute"

if this meeting ends successfully both parties would make profits worth millions. Grace assigned the project to have best and most hard working group of employees. she had already revised and approved it and she was feeling confident that the deal is already in the bag.

she walked into the conference room with her head held high. she was dressed in a grey peplum blazer and matching palazzo pants. her hair styled in a fashionable ponytail waving behind her as she walked and her black heels announced her arrival on the ply wood floor with her employees following behind her. success is definitely the best feeling ever.

she's said that high usually chair at the head of the table and that was when she noticed the one and only Lucas freaking Lin, sitting on the chair to her right.

'why is he here' although the deal is worth millions, as the CEO of Lin enterprises, Lucas didn't really show up to this kind of meetings and this is not the first time he had showed up in Tang Inc for trivial matters

"hello Miss Grace" Lucas greeted with a dashing smile.

"what are you doing here" Grace blurted

"I mean is it wrong to assume that the CEO Lin enterprises is too busy to attend a simple cooperation meeting"

"yeah, ahm, well your team's proposal is quite intriguing so I had to see for myself"

she could have sworn that she heard Lucas add in a whisper "plus I wanted to see you" but then again it could did that have brain was playing at trick on her

"well I'm glad and I hope my team and I don't disappoint"

grace tried her hardest to focus solely on the presentation her stuff was giving but she kept feeling stared at from Lucas's direction and when she'd turn her head, Lucas was either focused on the presentation or his iPad. so she ended up witnessing the entire presentation halfheartedly but the good news is that the deal was successful and she even shaked hands will Lucas Lin. Dreamy.

its felt like old times again when it was herself, family, business and her crazy crush on Lucas. no obsessive boyfriend, no emotional drama and no Trevor

she was on an all time high. her mood plummeted when Trevor called an hour later

" congratulations"

Grace sighed "on what?"

Trevor chuckled "on your deal with Lin group of companies, I heard that the profits will be massive. I also heard that Lucas Lin was there in person" he said the last part with an edge

"if I asked you really politely, would you stop spying on me?''

"nope, I don't think so" she could practically hear him grin over the phone

"great"

" I'll be coming back tomorrow or the day after so we can celebrate"

"i thought you said you'll be there for two weeks"

" yeah but the issue was not as bad as my subordinate exaggerated it to be. so, I'm rounding up my work and I'll be back soon"

Grace mentally said goodbye to her peace of mind

"O...." she was interrupted by a toe curling scream and gun shot sounds over the phone"

"bye, see you soon and I love you"

it wasn't the scream or the gunshots but Trevor's declaration of love that made her shudder

when she got home that night she was tempted to check Lucas's social media platforms aka stalk her dearly beloved on social media but she taught I guess it and decided to go to sleep.

she hasn't gotten used to the LED lights above her bed so she kept waking up at random hours of the night and then fall back asleep but when she woke up this time, Trevor was there sitting on an arm chair by the window

he's eyes were closed but from his deep breaths, it was obvious that you wasn't fully asleep
