selecting baby items with Anna is a surprisingly delicate task. Anna's husband, Ethan Long had gotten so excited when he found out that Anna is pregnant. so he decided to decorate the baby's nursery by himself.
he did a splendid job designing the place. he painted the room a beautiful butter yellow and gray color. he tried painting a mural on one of the walls but ended up failing miserably. Anna had flooded Grace's phone with pictures of a desert tortoise looking like a pile of weird rocks. the couple had to hire an actual artist, who had drawn beautiful gray mountains over a bright yellow sunrise. it is absolutely beautiful. the tricky part is buying stuff that would suit the taste of a color crazy lady.
how do you explain to a cranky pregnant woman that a purple dresser has no places in a yellow room.
'they should have just hired an interior designer" Grace sighed
Maya being the traitor she is, ditched them when Anna tried to purchase a rainbow colored rocking armchair for the baby's room. it only got worse when they got to the toy section. who buys a jump rope for a baby. not to mention the creepy dolls Anna kept trying to buy.
'put the doll down Anna" she couldn't take it anymore
"but it's so cute"
"you are pregnant not blind. that doll is enough to scar your baby for life"
Anna suddenly looked like she'd cry
'pregnant women and their hormones'
"how about, we go shopping for maternity dresses. you can buy all the bright and colorful clothes you want"
Anna finally cheered up and beamed brightly...
Grace felt proud of herself. she felt like she had saved her niece's childhood.
who would want to wake up in a beautiful yellow room and have to look a hideous rainbow chair
before she left the store grace bought a seven foot giraffe and a gray bib with fancy black embroidery that says 'NOBODY'S BUSINESS'
grace stared at the bib for a little too long and she thought 'how would it felt to have my own baby'.
spending time with a crazy pregnant lady is giving her crazy thoughts.
being surrounded by pregnant women and maternity dresses made her crave things she didn't know she wanted. a couple of months ago, she was reluctant to enter a relationship which blow up in her face and she finds herself fantasizing about having her own family. a loving husband and three children, a nice big house, a huge backyard. nice green grass maybe a garden and a swing.
'I must be having a fever' she thought as she touched her forehead to feel her temperature
"are you not feeling well?" Anna asked worriedly
"I think I might be hallucinating"
Anna frowned "that sounds serious, we should go to the hospital"
"it's nothing serious. it's just all the pregnant women and oversized clothes are making me dizzy"
Anna shaked her head and chuckled
"well, take a sit I might take a while"
she doesn't belong here, in a maternity store, she belong is behind her desk in her office making waves and millions. she checked the company's latest bank statement on her phone. she smirked to herself when she saw the billions she had made over the years
'I know where I belong'

Anna was not kidding when she said she might take a while
'is she trying to purchase the entire store?' Grace sighed.
the pregnant woman had already tried on twelve different outfits already and wasn't showing any sign of stopping anytime soon.
Since Grace was trapped watching an overly excited pregnant woman try on dresses she won't be needing after the next three months, she decided to listen in on the gossip of the three women talking behind her.
the three women jumped from one topic to another. from the latest designer shoes that just came out, to the latest news on celebrities. when she heard her name, her interest perked up.
"isn't that Grace Tang over there?" one woman asked
"I think so"
"that bitch" another woman scowled
"why would you say that? she is a respectable and successful business woman. she is an inspiration to both men and women everywhere"
'inspiration huh?'
Grace grinned from ear to ear.
"respectable my foot. I have seen more respectable women in a rundown strip club"
the angry woman went on to narrate how she was a former employee at Tang inc before she got married and how grace was so full of herself and how she was rude to all her employees even the ones far older than. turn out, Grace also poured champagne all over the lady's cousin.
Although grace knew that most of what the angry lady is accusing her of might be true, she didn't remember. she might not even remember this conversation by tomorrow.
the three women eventually switched to other topics and soon after Anna was ready to leave with her bag of new cloths.
when they were about to leave, Grace heard a more than interesting topic.
"did you hear that Lucas Lin got engaged, few days ago?"
Grace froze 'Lucas? engaged?'
