chapter68 Mommy issues(3)

"you are a horrible mob boss" Maya huffed as they walked into Trevor house.

"I thought you said I'm a nice guy"

"exactly! mob bosses aren't nice and they also live in big extravagant mansions. not black and white apartment from the1950s"

Grace agreed with Maya. Trevor's house wasn't what she was expecting. there is literally no color in his house. the house is fancy and high class, no doubt but it's all black and white. sleek black tiled flooring, rich white paint on the wall. no other color.

"actually, mob bosses 'own' extravagant house, they don't necessarily live in them. they live in safe houses. it smaller the better -safer" Trevor corrected.

"why would anyone..."

"who are you people?" a harsh voice interrupt. the voice came from a short and young?woman. to an inexperienced eye, the woman looked youngish -in her early thirties but Grace could clearly see the wrinkles and various signs of plastic surgeries. the woman has pompous aura dipped in well trained elegance and 'perfection' *scoff.

"Trevor. who are this people?" her voice was laced in venom and it made Trevor whimper. this woman clearly has Trevor wrapped around her dirty little fingers.

"they are my friends mother"

'mother?'

"I don't remember you having any friends Trevvy" the woman taunted.

'how dare she'

"actually, we are his friends slash your eviction party" Maya spat angrily "you have less then an hour to pack up your stuff and leave"

"how dare you enter my house and say rubbish to me"

"it's my house -technically" Trevor retorted timidly.

"shut up Trevor" the so-called mother growled at her son earning another whimper from him.

'that does it'

"I don't have what delusions you have swimming in your head but without your son, you're just a broke nobody. that's why when he cut you off six months ago, you started stealing like the stupid little thief you are. you stole from people you shouldn't have and now they want you dead and if you don't leave this house in the next fifty minutes, 'someone' will find you"

"my Son won't allow anything to happen to me" the woman has the nerve to respond so cockily and even look at Trevor for some kind of affirmation but to hers and everybody else's surprise. even to Trevor's surprise, he just shrugged and walked into the open kitchen.

"Trevor!! Trevor!! you can't let this people do this to me!!!"

"you have forty seven minutes left. if you're not gone by then.. don't say I didn't warn you" the woman glare could have drilled holes into the back of Trevor's head but in truth, the woman was silently begging Trevor for help while Trevor is obviously trying to hold his ground and not break under the pressure of his mother's gaze.

"useless piece of trash even more stupider than his sister" the woman grumbled before scurrying away probably to pack her stuff.

'wow' that all Grace's brain could muster.

the world really isn't fair.

"and that's my mother" Trevor sighed in defeat.

"if its any consolation, my mom said worse when I refused to study medicine" Maya sighed too.

"no it's not!" Grace felt so fired up "how can the world be so cruel. some people can't even have a child of their own. this woman got two and she's such a bitch!"

no one said anything else for a while because it is what it is.

"how did you know about my mother's theft" Trevor asked breaking the heavy silence.

"my informant told me" Grace answered simply.

"oh. okay"

"wait! you have an informant?!" Maya asked incredulously like she couldn't wrap her head around a businesswoman having an informant.

"yep"

"everyone has informants nowadays"

"so. I'm guessing you have an informant too" Maya asked Trevor.

"more then a hundred across the world" he replied in 'duh' tone.

"nobody told me to get an.." they were just starting to forget about their issues when 'the woman' walked back in with a butt load of luggage grumbling, mumbling and cussing.

"wait!" Trevor called, Grace's immediate thoughts are that Trevor feet got cold and he changed his mind about kicking the woman out and from the smug grin on the woman's face, she thought so too but instead, Trevor pulled out an envelope. "there is a debit card and all it's details inside this envelope. there is enough money in this envelope to buy a small house for yourself. I'll will be sending a minimal amount money monthly but that is it. I never want to see your face again"

the woman snatched the envelope from Trevor, no thank yous were said only more grumbling as the woman made her way out.

"that went well" Trevor tried to joke. the keyword being -tried.

"I'm proud of you" Grace patted his back.

"what you did takes major guts" Maya patted his back too.

"I wish I didn't have to do it though" Trevor sighed.

"don't we all"

"thank you guys for being here for me and for being my friends" he turned to directly face Maya "thank you for barging into Grace's office today and you didn't have to come here with me today but I'm glad and grateful you did"

"awwn so sweet. I'm glad I barged into Grace's office too" Maya gushed before hugging him tightly. "join the hug Gracey"

"nope. no way. I have hugged more people in two weeks than I have in all my years of life" despite her words, she still hugged them "too much hugging is definitely bad for me"

*after hugging for twenty four seconds;

"what now?"

"let's go out for ice cream" Trevor suggested.

"good idea. the lord know I still need to mope and complain about by crush ignoring me"

"or you could just ask him out like a normal person" Grace scoffed as they walked out of Trevor's house together.

"that sounds so wrong coming from you. besides, that's not how forbidden love works"

"forbidden what" Trevor asked totally clueless

"trust me. you don't want to know"
