Ryu didn't give Kiyomori a chance to ponder his words before he picked up the shaking child and hid him in his arms. Ryu turned to Panzram with a smile.
The warmth in his eyes was no longer clouded in indifference nor coldness. It was a stark difference from the look he gave other people. When Panzram realized this, his heart seemed to come alive.
