Chapter Thirty-Two: "We need to rest"

Mark Andersen.

(A week after Adam's disappearance)

My eyes start to sting and hurt. I've spent too many hours in front of the computer screen trying to find the elusive Aradia. My right hand is on the mouse, clicking on any of the locations that her mobile sends me.

I haven't been able to follow it myself. I prefer to do it little by little and with the certainty of finding her damned hiding place.

Aradia keeps doing her thing but the damned she knows how to hide. I've tried every way possible to find out where he's holding Adam prisoner. With each passing day, I get the feeling that we will not find it in one piece.

Alice walks over and gently massages my tense shoulders. She squeezed her eyes shut in frustration.

Where the fuck can she be?

"Don't stress too much," Alice tries to reassure me. "We will find them."

I put my right hand on top of hers and caress it. I turn my chair so I'm face to face with Alice and I give her a tired smile.
