Chapter Thirty-Three: "End game"

Aradia Smith.

My furious footsteps are heard throughout the abandoned warehouse. Karla is back in the cage and sleeping like her life depended on it, leaving me in charge again. That she played this way infuriates me in a way I can't express. And she makes me think that I've never been completely in control of anything...

My knuckles hit one of the walls closest to me leaving cracks, both in the wall and in my knuckles. The fury that I feel in these moments eats me and is destroying me.

I let out a long sigh hoping to calm my mind and close my eyes so the tears don't come out and make a fool of myself in front of my subordinates. I do the same process until I notice the presence of someone behind me.

"I'm not in the mood, Kurt." My voice sounds cold and menacing but I don't seem affected.

"Adam wants to see you," he says between clenched teeth.
