Light liked the 13-year-old boy he had fought with, so he talked to him for a while and found out his name was Adam, and he also noticed that the boy was kind and funny, so Light had a good time with him. and they became friends.
Light felt that with Adam at least he could talk calmly, his maturity level was acceptable and he enjoyed his jokes. The other kid he would get along with would be Helleans, but he is very shy and not yet well socialized.
All night he hung out by his father's side, watching the fights. His mother from time to time would caress him and she would spend her time eating.
After a while, the prizes finally arrived. The prize for the adults was not claimed since they belonged to the same organizer that won, so the other prizes went to the youth.
Zirion handed Light a discount coupon, and a small bag containing the silver coins. Light received the awards and immediately gave them to his parents.
After that, Zirion told him that he could choose one of the three weapons that were on the table. There he will find a wooden bow that according to Zirion is of good quality, two metal daggers with a handle made of black leather, and a sword that fits Light's size.
Not only that, she was also very pretty, and her weight was perfect for Light, so he didn't hesitate to choose the sword.
He did a few tricks with quick thrusts and slashes. The sword was a good size, the blade was fine and sharp, its weight was perfect, and the hilt design was also good.
The thing was, when Ailyn saw that Light finished testing it, she didn't hesitate to take it off right away.
"You're still my little one, and taking care of you is my priority, so when you're older I'll give it to you," Ailyn was saying as she put the sword back in its scabbard and gave it to Albert. Until then it will be stored.
"B-but mother"...
Light didn't continue insisting, after all she was his mother, besides, he still wouldn't put the sword to good use. So he decided to wait to get stronger and teach his mother that he could now be responsible and careful.
As it started, the party ended full of joy, fun, celebration and a little high on alcohol.
Light and his family left around 3 in the morning. The village chief had told Light if he wanted him to be his instructor from now on, Light politely declined. Light continue as things were, also, the feeling that the book was going well for him.
Another thing that happened that surprised Light was that the Helleans approached him and congratulated him on winning the match. The Helleans' vocabulary and pronunciations were as fluent as his, so that implied that at least he had great abilities.
When Light arrived at his house, he immediately fell asleep in his bed, he was tired and very sleepy so he soon fell asleep.
Getting up, Light resumed his training and his mana core training. In the mornings, the training was only for fights with his father, since his progress was fast and the things he knew and learned had to be put into practice with a real subject.
In the afternoon he returned to meditate and continue forming his core, now every night he got up early to make much more effort and get results soon.
A week passed quietly and Light was fighting his father in the courtyard. Light was hard dodging his father's quick attacks. In one of those, Albert had released a thrust and Light as he could dodge it.
The little boy threw his entire body backwards for support with his left hand, then lunged forward to perform a back flip in the air. Light when he was mid-turn threw a rock at him which he picked up on the ground as he jumped at his father.
Albert quickly deflected the stone with the sword, what he didn't expect was that Light the next second, he threw the wooden sword. Albert opened his eyes in surprise, a slight chill ran down his back for a few seconds.
His son's gaze was serious and cold, unable to dodge the sword, it hit him in the chest. Albert felt a strange sensation when fighting with his son, besides thinking that if that sword was real, he would have already died.
On second thought, he would have died several kisses every time he trained with his son. Being confident due to Light's age and still seeing him inexperienced (although he is in a way), he leads him into sneak attacks.
A whistle was heard in the patio and both father and son turned to where he came from. It was Zirion and his son who had arrived.
Zirion couldn't help but be surprised by Light's tactics and agile moves. Even for a few seconds a small sparkle was seen in the eyes of Helleans. What Light did amazed him too.
“Man, it's always amazing to see your son fight. To think that he can pull off things like that in the middle of a battle, the composure and control that he has when fighting must be high" Zirion said. A surprising perception and intelligence, an adaptation when it comes to battle and having a great talent for this fight.
Albert just laughed heartily, after all he too was in awe of his son. His gaze and attitude when he starts a fight change making him a little cold, Albert thought it was his imagination, but after a while, he really notices it.
"Isn't your son blessed by a god of war or something?" Zirion joked.
"How do you think?" Albert answered as he laughed nervously.
The family had not mentioned the phenomena that occurred on the day of delivery, so they would not do so yet.
"Besides, what made you show up at my humble home, Zirion?" Albert asked.
"My son began to feel interest in your son, he wanted to meet him and talk to him. Apparently people who are talented get along from the start,” Zirion laughed.
Light upon hearing Zirion's response, couldn't help but look at the Helleans. Did that embarrassing child finally want to make friends? Light just walked up to him and held out his hand.
"Light Silvery, nice to meet you." Light was the first to introduce himself formally.
Helleans looked at the boy in front of him and despite being the same age, the difference in size and body build were different upon closer inspection.
"Helleans Freeger, the pleasure is mine," he replied with another friendly Hellean greeting.
Albert only commented:
"I guess good manners come from his and Susan's mother."
"You said it, let them get to know each other better, let's walk," Zirion added.
Albert agreed and they left his children alone to have a normal conversation between children.
The two little ones were silent for a few minutes until the Helleans decided to break the ice with a peculiar comment.
"You're weird"
Light was surprised by the comment to which he responded.
"What do you mean with that?"
"The voice in my head says that you can already extract mana and that you are about to form such a mana core, and that is something surprising and very rare.
Light's eyes widened and he didn't know what the Helleans were talking about, voice in his head? What things did this boy say?
"Voice in the head?" you call me weird and you hear voices in your head, what a joke said Light a little confused.
"It's not voices, it's a voice, it says it's a woman so I won't try to ask too many questions. I'm not sure what's wrong with me either,” Helleans confessed in a low tone.
Light also didn't understand what was happening to him so he could only ask perfunctory questions. Questions like, since when did you start hearing that voice? Or does your family know anything about it?
"The first time I heard him was when I turned 3 years old, since then he speaks from time to time, and my family doesn't know anything, the voice told me not to say anything and I don't want to alarm them either" Helleans replied.
"Hmm, did you want to know if I knew about anything?" Light said.
Helleans just shook their heads and said:
"Not at all, the voice told me that I would know more as time passed. I came because she had asked me, apparently she wanted to analyze you in greater detail to find out if you were "another".
The last word confused Light, another? The boy left Light more and more entangled.
"According to the voice, you're not another, so I won't bother you for a while," Helleans said.
Light no longer paid attention to his words, if he continued to do so, he would definitely collapse from confusion. Before the Helleans left, Light also gave him a comment.
"You're weird too, you know?"
"I know, for a child to come and tell you that a voice that comes from the mind speaks to him and that he asks confusing questions, it is certainly strange," Helleans replied as he closed his eyes and smiled.
"I'm not just saying it for that, thanks to my core being almost awake, I can faintly perceive the mana" Light confessed ".Every time I see a small mana particle travel very close to you, it turns cold and freezes".
Helleans found it incredible that he could see mana despite not having awakened his mana core, yet he remembered that from the beginning, the two had secrets and rare events.
"I can only perceive it in a faint way, but I still feel the change that occurs when it passes near me. The voice tells me that my body isn't ready to absorb mana yet so she rejects it like that.
Light despite not understanding anything, at least his mind gave an indication of being able to understand a little, so he did not continue insisting.
"I guess this is the first time we've both shared a bit of our secrets," Light smiled.
"That's right," Helleans answered in the same way. Well, I have to go, it was nice having a normal chat with you.
"I'm wondering the same. I hope that the next time we meet, we have made much more progress.
The morning event was undoubtedly something very crazy for him, Zirion also said goodbye and then they left. Light picked up the wooden sword that was on the ground and then Albert arrived asking what they had talked about.
Zirion had also asked his son the same thing, so the two children answered at the same time, "children's things", despite already being at different distances.
Light spent a morning without a doubt, different. The rest of the afternoon she spent meditating and solidifying her mana core. At dinner time he chatted with Susan for a while asking a little more about the Helleans' personality or if she noticed anything weird about him.
The only thing Susan told him was that the boy was somewhat reserved and that what she saw as strange was a phenomenon that was happening to him, she left him there because according to her, Light could not understand those things yet.
"If you only knew, Grandma," Light commented quietly as he laughed.
Thus, Light's day was over. Tonight he didn't decide to get up early so he went to bed early. His training paid off despite setbacks, so rushing in and not doing it was good once in a while.
