Very fulfilling story with a lot of drama action love scenes passion.Cheering on the side for the characters. This was a marathon reading . Worth the extra money spent on it.
So far the story is interesting, I do like how the main character doesn't immediately fall in love however it makes it seem like he won't ever fall in love with the king, which is not an ideal romance story. Gets confusing when he suddenly starts having feelings for him even if it's mostly sympathy. It's a good concept when done right, but it is a difficult one to achieve. Basically a bland story with predictable plot, but interesting nonetheless.
Ah, I was going to wait until I've read the entire book, but I can barely get past chapter 3 without some critiques. Proper address of the servants and masters are a given, this is a period piece set in ancient China even though I haven't seen a dynasty mentioned still the manner in which the people speak is off putting. Have you ever watched or read a Chinese period novel or drama? It's a great story and plot but the voice I get from it is 'modern American'. Please consider revisions if you haven't already and you might benefit from reading 'From Ceo to Concubine' by Queeniecat on here bc that is a well written Ye Dynasty transmigration piece.
love how you ended the story good job author

The language was kind of lacking, but it was good overall 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
Pretty disappointed. The writing is really messy, and gets worse as the story progresses. In the latter chapters, many sentences are incomplete, no verb or subject. Writing things like "his/her" really disturbs the reading the reading flow. You can use "their", or even "his or her". It was fortunately mostly legible, although not always, which is really a bummer in a novel :'// The story itself wasn't bad, a bit plain and overdone but still interesting, with characters well fleshed-out and an entertaining plotline. Disappointed in the MC being a complete "damsel in distress" in the last arc. There were very good character interactions and relationships, with great discussions around consent and communication. Which makes it all the more disappointing when the ML suddenly acts like a child, especially at one point where he gets jealous of MC prioritizing an actual child? Get it together man Another disappointing point is seeing a secondary couple where the top thinks at first that the one he's interested in is a man, only to end up being a ger. I get wanting the cute babies, but for how little the pregnancy (in this case, not like MC) comes into the story, that feels really unnecessary. I had some hope this wouldn't be another hetero centric BL, but no. And with how gers are really treated as "exotic" or "fancy" versions of women (being called wife, MC even being called "Her majesty")... Man at that point why not write a straight romance? It's also very confusing and taking me out of the story, because at the same time, the story will insist they're boys/men, parents call gers their sons, etc. There doesn't seem to be a lot of thought put into this aspect, and that's a shame.
Realy good where you there when it happened.
