So I grab Penny's hand and pull her out of the room. Sansa is crying, no she is howling and bawling in Manuela's arms too deep in her head space to make sense of my decision.
I don't blame her. She is right to be scared. But I am not. Penny and Sansa are both safe. There is nothing else that I can possibly be scared of.
Penny is sceptical of my decision to kill Marco. She thinks it's hasty. I know it's not. The man needs to die and die now so that whoever is scaring my baby girl will know now to stop!
Gustavo is more than excited to kill Marco. He is like my brother. He has been waiting to kill him ever since we got to know that the asshole was behind the Plane Crash.
We walk down the stairs.
"Gus what happened to Sansa's phone? Any news of the dickhead texting her yet?" I ask.
"No boss. The phone is with Espo. He will call me once he has any news." I nod. It has been hardly thirty minutes since I had given him the phone. I can wait for a little longer.
We reach downstairs. We look at Marco. Naked. In chains. Missing nails and body parts. Dried blood all over his body. I expected Penny to gasp, blanch anything. But she just looks at him smirking.
She turns around hugs me and kisses my cheek and whispers in my ears a "thank you." I kiss her back on her forehead.
She does the same to Gus and I think he is a little taken aback. But he smiles.
"Do you need a gun?" I ask Penny.
"Can I have a knife instead?" she asks. Gus gets her one.
She walks up to Marco, grabs his hair and pulls his head back, exposing his tender neck, throat. She has a maniacal look in her eyes. It's shimmering with sadistic pleasure. Thank god we did not get my baby girl down here. Penny would have scared her to bits if not Marco's condition. Never before had I seen her like this.
With one swift movement she slashes his throat down without so much as looking down at me. She kept on staring at me with this diabolical smirk on her face. Like this was the moment she has been living for all her life.
Gus is staring at her in awe too.
She drops the knife dripping with blood to the floor along with Marco's head and walks up to us.
"Done and dusted." she smiles.
"You need to remove that look off your face before we go back upstairs to my baby girl."
She laughs and nods.
A phone rings. Gus picks it up.
He looks pale suddenly, all colour washed off his face like he has seen a ghost. Before I can ask something he says
"Boss its Manuela. She was the one leaving all those messages."
And my heart sinks onto the floor and my world comes crashing down.
