Now Then… II 33B

It wasn’t until a little past 7pm that Hannah went back to Sawyer’s room. Less than ten minutes after that, they were on their way to his friends’ hostel when they met them on their way to his. Hannah, who had clung to Sawyer tightly, let go so he could hug his friends and shake their hands after which she stuck to him again.

Turns out they were worried when the one week stipulated had run out and they had not seen him. Only to run into him on their way to his room. There was a lot of excitement. All three of them catching him up on what he’d missed as they veered from the direction of their hostel to one of the many restaurants where they all sat and kept talking. Even when Hannah had to leave to sort something out for one of her friends. It didn’t take long after that for the excitement to douse out. They had been waiting for such a moment.

“Everything looks the same and different at the same time. And it’s only been a week. It feels longer than that.” Sawyer pointed out.
