Memory Of… II 45A

Travis was in his office. There were no meetings to attend and there wasn’t a soul in the building. Nevertheless, he was there, working. Looking over files and projects he had looked over before, making adjustments and new plans as they came to him. He didn’t care about what was happening miles away or what his sons were doing or if they were together. He knew Sawyer wouldn’t go. That was as far as his thought on the subject was and when Elias asked him, his answer to his attendance was a firm no that Elias knew better than to question or dissuade. The smoke screen of work worked well.

“Are you serious?” Tyson closed his room door behind him just as Viola answered the phone. The message she had sent him baffled him enough to call her.

“Would I lie?”

“No. It’s just- who told you?” He rubbed his hair.

“Cash. He said Raina told him. She went back. They’re all there right now. I assume. Except him.”
