Tom’s heart skipped a beat. “What?” Then he remembered and smiled triumphantly. “Oh. Yeah. He asked her out, she agreed to annoy me and regretted it instantly.” He chuckled. “Not really instantly. I told her not to back out. But then he ditched her at the party they went to, I was with her for a few minutes then she left, I followed her and we fooled around a bit in my car and almost got caught.” He chuckled at the memory of their time in his backseat. “Anyway, bottom line is he ditched her and she ditched him.”

“Which is probably why he won’t stop. He called her a challenge.”

Tom rolled his eyes. “He’s been saying that. But the guys are sure it’s his ego that’s his problem and are happily watching him fail while giving him advice.”

Sawyer smirked at Tom’s sudden irritation. “And what are you doing?”

Tom turned to Sawyer, looking him in the face as he said, “Restraining myself.”
