On her way down the hall towards the stairs all dressed and ready to head out, she could hear Peggy on the phone. From her tone it was very likely Shane. And the level of excitement, it had her curious about what led to that and much further down, Tanner’s voice, low and pleased even as he laughed. She smiled as she got to the stairs, happy they’re all happy.

“I’m pretty sure you knew.” Peggy started once he picked up, sitting on the edge of her bed.

“Knew what?” Shane asked.

“But I’m going to tell you anyway because it’s just so absolutely exciting.” She ignored his question. “Tanner has a new girlfriend.”

“I did know about that.”

She smiled brightly, excited. “Did he tell you how they met? It’s basically because of me.” She didn’t wait for his answer, too excited.

“Because of you, how?”
