=Steph turned her face left, then right, looking at herself in her vanity mirror, a job well done with her make up. Her phone on the vanity top to her left. “I think the kids are hiding something.” She blurred out to Travis.

“How long has it been since you said that?”

She moved her hand through her hair. “Mmm… Last year. Abby.”

“Took us too long to figure that out. What is it this time?”

“I don’t know. But Tanner seemed beyond off before he left, Peggy lied to Sam and me. She said she had to go to White Mist to pick up something Tanner left behind.”

“What is Tanner doing there?”

“Great question. But I think it’s safe to say he knows this city better than we do.”

“Even if, what business can he possibly have there?”
