Four days later, after Tom and Tate had gone back home and the school was back to business as usual, Sawyer’s phone was ringing while he was in the middle of seeing a movie with Otto and Noelle on the spare mattress yet to be returned. It rang and rang and then a message followed. “You haven’t learned your lesson from last time?” Noelle asked, pausing the movie.

Sawyer glanced at her in annoyance at her comment while Otto asked. “What happened last time?” Not even sure if she was talking to him.

Sawyer picked up his phone and read the message. Sherry –“Did you know Tom is seeing the girl Tate likes?” What the what what?!!!! Sawyer pulled his legs from the bed, shoved his feet into his slippers and rushed out. His heart pounding in absolute confusion. Did he tell Tate finally? He saw other messages he hadn’t bothered to read, messages from Aida and Jenny that in summary, said the craziest things happened in school.
