Haku did not bring much inconvenience to Hachiro and his journey.
Haku didn't know much about the land of water, which could be attributed to him being limited to his small village.
If he hadn't heard from Hachiro that he was from the Yuki clan, he wouldn't have even known the reason he was being persecuted.
After all, his mother seemed more interested in bringing the secrets of his heritage to the grave.
After finding a few more villages, they tried to eavesdrop and inquire about more information about what was going on in the land of Water and Kirigakure.
It seemed like Obito had gained control over the Mizukage several years ago, as the shinobi from the bloodline clan's had been dying due to ambushes from other villages or mysteriously disappearing when they went out on missions.
Haku's mother probably escaped at the earliest signs.
By the way, wasn't Obito only around 13 or 14 years old, when he first started hunting down the clans?
He's crazy passionate about their extinction.
Well, considering the mist was the reason, Rin Nohara died he probably viewed it as some form of revenge.
Haku is likely to be the only descendant of the Yuki clan still alive.
The Hozuki and Kaguya clans had been expelled from the mist, less than a year ago.
"Hey! Did you hear, about the mist shinobi attacking the Hozuki clan last night?"
At the entrance of an small inn, a group of venders gathered together to discuss the recent news.
"Who do you think will win?"
"The mist shinobi of course. No matter how you look at it, one clan can't resist the attack of a major shinobi village."
"I guess your right. But isn't the Mizukage crazy? The Hozuki clan has been famous, since the warring states era, and the second Mizukage, himself was from the Hozuki clan."
"That guy is completely mad, no one can guess what he wants to do..."
"With the Yuki clan gone, the Hozuki under attack, the Kaguya clan is next.
What the vendors did not notice was that one teenager sitting on a table inside the inn was listening to their conversations.
After gleaming as much information as he could get from the discussion, he stood up and went up stairs with a small figure behind him acting as his shadow.
…
…
A few days later, on the land in the south of the Land of Water.
This was the main battlefield between Kirigakure and the Hozuki clan.
Even though, the Hozuki clan's elementalization kekkai genkai allowed them to negate most physical and water attacks, it also made them weaker to lightning ninjutsu.
The main problem that they were having was the overwhelming numbers of mist shinobi that numbered in the thousands.
In a desolate village that had been built after the Mizukage drove the Hozuki clan away,
"What a pity, for one of the greatest prodigies in the world to die like this..."
He crouched in front of a corpse and muttered to himself.
A well known prodigy in the Mist and potentially the only one capable of wielding all seven swords of the mist with great mastery.
Mangetsu Hozuki.
Looking at his body which was void of wounds, he concluded, this genius had most likely died from chakra exhaustion. Kisame maybe.
Haku ran up to him and reported,
"Mr. Hachiro, I just checked all the houses. I don't think there are any survivors."
"So, I won't be able to find anyone with the Hozuki bloodline."
He muttered to himself with a little annoyance.
"Heh! Oh well, better luck next time I suppose."
After mingling with cloud shinobi for 18 years, his personality ended up being affected a little.
In his previous life, he was more of an introvert but now, he had gotten a taste of the freedom and power that comes with being a shinobi.
When we're on the topic of freedom and power doesn't that sound like one piece pirates?
I could totally be the ninja version of Whitebeard.
Only difference being, I adopt both daughters and sons.
Gender equality!
Wait, what would Hinata say if I adopted someone else?
Just imagining her little face all puffed up made him retract his previous idea.
…
Kirigakure continued to cleanse the world of blood belonging to Kaguya's descendants.
The Yuki clan had been annihilated with only one surviver, the Hozuki clan had been exterminated like a bunch of rats, leaving only the battle hungry Kaguya clan.
The Kaguya clan was just as grumpy and muscle headed as the fourth Raikage and that was saying something.
Using their gorilla level intelligence they decided the best idea was to attack instead of fleeing.
Their end was predictable as they numbered much less than the Hozuki clan.
And because of the illness that came from their bloodline, everyone was sick to varying degrees.
They fared even worse in front of the Shinobi army from the mist, that kept throwing themselves towards the clan relying on their immense number.
These successors of the Dead Bone Pulse, who inherited Kaguya's name and blood seemed so vulnerable.
"Coral Palm!"
The fourth Mizukage, Yagura personally showed up with a blood red, animalistic, coat hugging his body.
He leapt towards the Kaguya's patriarch and hit him with his palm, causing coral to form and swallow him alive.
Moments later, Yagura left after making sure he had killed the Patriarch, leaving the small fry for his minions.
And just like that, the Kaguya clan, one of the final remaining clans possessing a bloodline limit, disappeared in all but shinobi history.
Yagura, who was leaving suddenly stopped as he noticed a child that seemed much less bloodthirsty than his clanmates ran from the battlefield.
